The Empire’s Most Forbidden Realm
Unlike the suffocating tunnels of the "Mines" or the grim sanctuaries of the "Temple," Leon can finally catch a breath of fresh air as he walks through the bustling squares and lively streets of the Capital.
His journey leads him into the Empire's most forbidden realm — the grand halls and winding corridors of the Imperial Palace. These vibrant interiors are steeped in both the spirit of bygone grandeur and demonic decay. And for good reason…
Secrets of a Dark Past
Generations ago, the Human Empire faced an invasion of bloodthirsty yokai demons. Victory in that war came at a heavy price, paid in countless human and demonic lives alike.
But that wasn't the end of the story. Over time, the Empire didn’t shy away from turning demonic power to its own advantage. That is precisely why so many of Leon’s foes bear yokai traits. Now, he must clash with everyone who carries the scars of this dark past.
Furious and Deadly
The Palace is crawling with enemies infused with demonic power, including several you'll be encountering for the very first time. But the true reason Leon has come here is Kuma.
Kuma is one of the Empire’s elite fighters and the reigning Champion of the Arena. Why Leon is seeking an audience with such a brutal and deadly adversary remains a mystery. But one thing is certain: Kuma is deeply entangled in the Empire's darkest secrets, and defeating him will be anything but easy. And trust us, when Kuma swings his massive club, it feels like the Palace itself is about to collapse.
Parkour and Crowd-Clearing Combat
We couldn't send Leon to face an enemy like Kuma without giving him a few new tricks.
First, Leon has learned to use construction hooks, allowing him to launch himself across huge gaps and navigate the Palace in entirely new ways. It's incredibly useful. And, more importantly, it's a lot of fun.
Second, alongside "Electro Strike", which many of you enjoyed during the playtest, Leon now wields a brand-new ability "Air Slash". By unleashing the fury of the Jinko, Leon can dash straight through groups of enemies, tearing apart everything in his path. Effective and absolutely spectacular!
That's all we'll say for now! Download the Demo, parkour your way across the Imperial Palace, cut your enemies to pieces... and try not to get flattened by Kuma's club.
