v1.4.0 - The Deep Survey

Lost Vessel · published

AUGUST 8, 2026

A second Nexus construction

The Deep Survey is a sounding rig built to read what lies under the settlement. The pitch on it says the thing plainly: the colony has surveyed outward since the day it landed, and nobody thought to survey down.

  • 110 million points, half of what the Spire took, rising through four stages you can watch on the map: survey stakes, sounding rig, shaft head, first cut.
  • Priced on the same ladder as the Spire, by tier and processing depth rather than by what anyone is sitting on. Shared items keep the value they already had, so nothing is worth more or less depending on which build you pour it into.
  • What is at the bottom is the entire point of digging, and I am not telling you before you get there.

The settlement map remembers

  • Finished projects keep their plot. The Spire still stands where you built it, its final numbers frozen the day it completed: the total, the people who carried it, and what you put in yourself.
  • You can move between them, monument to active build and back. Finishing one no longer quietly erases it to make room for the next.

Fixes

  • World boss hits reward your build again.
  • Showcased items show visitors their real appearance, skins included.
  • Short absences now report what happened while you were gone, and time you were present for is no longer simulated a second time.
  • Roadmap no longer leaves a pane stranded over the window after you close it.
  • Tutorial survives losing your first session.
  • Names settle after the first few changes.
  • Top bar dropdowns open above the interface, the bar wraps instead of running off the edge on narrow screens, and the floating tools size properly on phones.
  • Yield popups stopped throwing on every drop.
