Broken Drive Demo · published

Hello everyone! We have just released a new optimization and polish update for Broken Drive Demo. This patch focuses on bringing significant performance improvements for low-to-mid range PCs, integrating cutting-edge upscaling technology, and fixing critical immersion bugs.
Here is what’s new in this update:
AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3.1) Added: You can now toggle AMD FSR directly in the Settings menu! Greatly boosts FPS on supported GPUs while maintaining crisp visuals.
VRAM & Memory Optimization: Fixed texture streaming pool allocations to prevent VRAM memory thrashing, stutters, and crashes on 4GB/6GB GPUs.
Lumen & Lighting Enhancements: Optimized Lumen global illumination and shadow render passes for a smoother, high-framerate experience.
Foliage & Mesh Draw Distance Tweaks: Background meshes and vegetation draw distances have been optimized to reduce GPU strain without sacrificing atmosphere.
Day 6 Ghost Encounter Fix: Fixed an issue where the player's footstep audio would continue looping if caught by the ghost while moving or sprinting.
Audio Timing Overlap Fixed: Fixed ambient background voicelines/sounds accidentally triggering during or after jumpscare sequences.
Movement & Input Locking: Improved player input and camera handling during critical story cutscenes and encounters.
Thank you so much for playing, testing, and supporting Broken Drive! As always, please let us know your thoughts and report any bugs in the Community Hub.
