The vault has been open for a few days, and you have not been shy about telling us where it creaks. This update is the answer: the first big balance pass since launch, built from your feedback, plus a handful of things you asked for outright.Four rules run through the whole patch:
No more free Mana. Cards that made Mana out of nothing now pay for it.
The strongest self-summoners get a brake. Free bodies arrive in Defense or sit out their first attack.
Reliquaries cost what they're worth. The big ones ask for more Mana, and the game-swinging ones only come once per turn.
Extra Deck effects are once per turn. No more chaining the same effect off three copies.
💎 Every changed card refunds in full
More than 150 cards were changed, restricted or braked in 0.2.1. Every copy you own refunds its full crafting value in dust the next time you log in — and the cards stay in your collection. A Balance Compensation panel lists every card, every copy and the dust you received.

Grinning Ledger now costs its controller 2000 LP each Standby Phase — the ledger collects
Appointed Hour only triggers when your opponent destroys the card; Usurer's Terms yields half; Vow of Poverty is now a comeback draw
Banlist: Mana Font, Paid in Advance and Usurer's Terms are limited to 1; Compost Heap, Compound Interest, Pennywhistle and Sleep On It to 2
🔒 Hard once per turn
A new kind of "once per turn": one activation per player per turn, no matter how many copies you run. It now sits on Mana Font, Shellcrate, Simoniac, Banked Flame, Long Fuse, Mopsy, Pennyweight, Beachcomber, Compost Heap, Compound Interest, Otho, Pennywhistle, Sleep On It — and on 30 Extra Deck effects.
⛓️ Manacle overhaul
Manacle no longer drains and steals raw Mana. The archetype now works through Liens (a debt placed on an enemy monster that Manacle collects on) and Taxes (surcharges on your opponent's spells). Same debt collectors, cleaner ledger.
🛡️ Self-summoners
14 self-summoning monsters now arrive in Defense Position
26 more cannot attack the turn they summon themselves
Gravemaw Tyrant and Deathpoem's "The Book Closes" now lock direct attacks
🏛️ Reliquaries
Mana costs up: King of Deckay 0 → 3; Forgeheart Worldanvil, Gravemaw, Maw of the World and Wyrm Eternal, Shrine Ascendant 3 → 4; Lightless, the Last Umbra, Wyldpack Ur-Alpha, Deckay, the Ravenous Under, Genostitched Apex Chimera and Tidebound, the Returning Sea 2 → 3
Once per turn: 31 Reliquaries with removal, recursion, draw or toolbox effects on summon can now only be Reliquary Summoned once per turn — the rule is printed on the card
Barrierstruck, the Unbreached asks for 2+ Artifacts instead of 3+, and equipped Artifacts now count
🖐️ Hand disruption
Show Me Your Hands: 2 Mana, once per turn (hard), limited to 2
Soul Grasp: 2 Mana, once per turn (hard). Peephole: 2 / 3 Mana. What Falls From Their Hand: 5 Mana
Open Book Test sends the card to the bottom of the deck instead of the Graveyard
Awkward Silence (Infused) hits only your opponent
Lightless Ritual no longer rips the hand: it summons Lightless from the Graveyard or banishment instead
Once per turn (hard) on Cold Read, Apocrypha Sphinx, Eidolon, Unprinted Truth, Soul Devourer and Thunder Roc; Redactor discards at most once per extra draw
🕯️ Offerings
New offering picker. Click a glowing Incarnate and pick the monsters for its offering one by one from a list: every card shows its Level value, whether it is a Vessel, and where it sits — Field with its zone, Graveyard, hand or banishment. The Level counter runs as you pick, chosen cards light up on the board, and SUMMON unlocks the moment the sum is exact.
Sacrificial Ham and Man of Straw count as Level 2 in an offering, Sacrilegion Twice-Blessed as Level 4, Sacrilegion Grand Sacrist as Level 6
⚔️ Duels
Choose the battle position for every monster your effects Special Summon — Heavenly Choirmaid & Co. no longer force Attack Position. Multiple summons ask one by one.
Surrendering pays nothing, in Solo and online. The loss still counts for your rank.
🤖 Solo
Ten new opponents join the roster, each on a mixed-archetype deck: Ember Broker, Ledger Master, The Curtain, Foreman Tack, Mother Rot, The Censor, Mirelle the Understudy, High Sacrist Ondrel, Bombardier Gruss and The Poacher King.
🧰 Quality of life
Favorites in the deck builder: star a card (or right-click it), filter by FAVORITES, sort favorites first
Banlist, Chronicle and Balance Compensation in the main menu — hover any card name for a preview
Steam names: your Steam persona is your display name, umlauts and other alphabets included
