The demo for Hover Raid has been playable for about two months now. Until today, it featured graphics made using AI tools.
When I first started development, my mindset was like: "AI is here, and it is not going anywhere. Why not use it if it speeds up my development time?" The graphics looked fine, but as I played other games recently, I noticed something as a player: I disliked seeing AI generated graphics in games. That made me step back and question the decision I made for my own game.
I realized I did not want players to have that same feeling when playing my game. So I put in some time to draw some graphics by hand and obtain some artwork created by humans. While I cannot speak for the future of game development as a whole, this particular game will not be using AI graphics.
TL;DR: All previously AI-made graphics in Hover Raid (and its demo) have been replaced with completely human-made artwork.
