We have two big updates for you today!
We are part of the IDA 2026 Steam event, the first-ever all-Argentine event in Steam history, with more than 150 games. A huge win for our industry! (thanks IDA and Skull Queens Games).
Human.exe was also officially selected as one of 25 games in the IDA 2026 Exhibition held in Buenos Aires. We showcased a brand new demo at the event and the reception was pretty great.
On top of this, our game was nominated for Best Narrative and Original Idea. We didn't take home the trophies, but we stood alongside an incredible selection of local talent. This particularly means a lot given that this is our first game (hope you can't tell). Maybe we take a trophy home in the future, who knows!
For those who couldn't attend the event or who recently discovered Human.exe, we've uploaded the showcase build directly to Steam.
Here are the latest changes:
New main and pause menus with updated visuals and sound effects.
New music system and additional track included on the soundtrack.
Interface can now be scrolled with the mouse wheel and/or Page Up & Page Down keys.
Dialogue is now skippable both with any key and mouse click.
Narrative adjustments.
Revised tutorial and in-game help revisions for easier onboarding.
Minor command changes to make system navigation smoother for players unfamiliar with command-line interfaces.
Hope you enjoy! -Weird Engine Team
