v 0.1.58 changelog:
Tutorials
Rebuilt the Basic Tutorial and moved it to a dedicated Blueprint Training Ground.
Added tutorials for the Bomb Run and Supply Drop game modes.
Tutorials are now accessible directly from the lobby screen.
Playtest Schedule
The playtest version will now only be available during scheduled playtest windows. We want to bring as many players together in those windows as possible so you can play against each other. If you launch the game outside of a playtest window, you'll see a countdown showing when the next session begins.
Gameplay
Added a new Vehicular Drive input mode for keyboard and mouse. Players can now choose between the original Directional mode and the new Vehicular mode in the tutorial or the Settings menu.
Secondary Fire is now activated with a single button press (default: Space) for tanks that fire standard projectiles. Hold + press (Space + LMB) is still required for ballistic weapons and mine deployment.
The interaction menu now appears automatically when approaching an interactive object. Previously, you had to hover your cursor over the object.
Improved input handling for skill trees.
It is now possible to fire your weapon while the Tank Operator skill tree menu is open during gameplay.
When a squad of two players selects a 1v1 Duel, they will now play against each other. In 3v3 and 4v4 modes, squad members will still be placed on the same team.
Solo vs AI and Co-op vs AI modes are now available by enabling the Custom Match checkbox. The default Quick Match option will search for matches against other players.
Improved minion AI in the MOBA game mode.
3v3 Brawl matches now feature a different obstacle layout every match.
Improved the Force Field Drone:
Hostile projectiles now collide with the force field when fired from outside the field.
Hostile projectiles fired from inside the field can still hit other tanks.
Improved force field visuals and impact fx.
UI & HUD
Added HUD description popups when hovering over specific interface elements.
Added cooldown timers that appear near the cursor when using an item or ability that is not yet ready (Secondary Fire, Repair, Boost, Tactical Item).
The Engine Overload overheat icon now blinks when the engine temperature is close to the maximum.
Improved HUD direction markers and minimap markers.
Added a Report Bug button in the lobby for easier in-game bug reporting.
Added a short survey after each match. We encourage you to leave feedback—it helps us improve the game.
Visual Effects & Animation
Improved tank and structure hit effects with new flash effects and clearer visual feedback.
Overall visual effects clarity improvements.
Added tank body recoil animations when firing and when hit by enemy projectiles.
