Level Changes: Florida IX — Dowijuya
- Completely reworked the bulk of the level
- The railway section is gone and replaced with a cliffside walkway. There is also a secret path if you're up for some parkour!
- We've improved the sections of the game in the lobby and power room.
- The upstairs of the Nice 'N' Tidy building now has real geometry. Textures coming soon!
Fixed several issues with bad collisions and places you can get stuck.Combat
- Added a new weapon type: the Blob Launcher! It's our first AoE weapon!
- There are two variants of this weapon on Florida IX.
- Added a new equipment type: the Frontal Shield! It's great for parrying.
- Revamped enemy AI so that they're always doing something dangerous.
- Reworked the crosshair system to be more readable and dynamic.
- The crosshair now indicates when your weapon is out of range.
- Added recoil to most weapons.
- Enemies now have improved visuals and animations.
- Players and enemies can now be stunned and knocked over during combat.
Engineering
- Added a new set of modifier parts that, when powered, affect other parts.
- Can you break the new "Coldifier" modifier part? Let us know!
- Parts now have minimum _and_ maximum temperatures more consistently.
- Much more information is now present in info panel pop-ups.
- Added support for most keys when rebinding switches.
- Added a fancy new effect when dragging parts around.
Editor
- Added hover tooltips to most things.
- The search box is now more powerful; use `$` to search for entities by ID and `.` for specific components.
- Focus entities in the outliner by pressing `/`.
- Lights now have an icon render in their place and can have their influence range visualized.
- Several improvements to editor and component adding panels.
- Adding a warning when editing a scene that's being played.
- It's now possible to create cables in the editor.
- Camera speed can be controlled with number keys.
- macOS now uses `cmd` instead of `ctrl` in more places.
Misc. Bugfixes
- Fixed sparks being spewed out of erroneous collisions.
- Fixed players being spawned when they shouldn't be in the editor.
- Added more guidance in places that players were getting stuck in.
- Fixed parts getting lost when dragging them while moving.
- Made the pause when conversations start much less jarring.
Known Issues
- Volumetrics are still disabled by default in this build. You can open the editor (even in a running game) with F3 and turn them on with Graphics -> Volumetrics, but be warned that they are very taxing.
- We're investigating an issue with loading from a save sometimes causing parts to get disconnected. Reattaching your parts should fix any issues.
