Hello all! I realized it has been a minute since we did an update on Steam. Happy to report that the adventure is kicking into high gear. The latest pieces added was chapter 15, which saw our group enter into the Bad Lands, a notorious place marred by dark magic and full of dangerous beasts, such as the Dracoholder featured above.
You and your companions must stay united to face off against this powerful creature. But it is not the only threat lurking in the Bad Lands.
A Look Forward
There are 24 chapters of the story planned. I have just finished the writing (and coding) for chapter 16. chapter 17 is outlined, so it should take about a week to write out that one. Maybe two because like chapter 16, it also has a new scene to enjoy.
If I can write 2-3 chapters a month for My Demonic Jungle Quest, that means there is a good chance that before all the writing will be complete around August - September. It is a bit past my initial hope for a release window, but if game development has taught me anything, it is that flexibility is a great skill to have.
I'll be sure to keep posting updates here as we head towards summertime. I am interested to put the game into Early Access at some point, but I want to be sure that Demon Jungle doesn't have the same sort of rough landing as Sunwave Hotel, so we shall see how the next 4 months go.
