Horde Mode Beta - Additional Update

UPG - Underground · published 10 Sep 2026, 21:24 UTC

After basically no sleep I grinded out an additional update to Horde Mode.

Horde now has progression. Punching the zombies earns you points, points can be used to purchase upgrades.

Every hit counts, and knock downs give an additional bonus.

When running with a squad, your points are separate to your team mates, you earn your own points and they earn theirs.

There are four things to buy, spaced around the map on upgrade signs, I'd rather let you find them than explain them, everybody loves surprises.

Also, you can pick each other up now.

Going down no longer means waiting for a wave to finish, your team mates can pick you up and get you back in the fight! If they leave you, well, you come back at the end of the wave anyway so you can just return the favour and get your revenge when they go down next. :)

Horde is still in BETA, it's very likely to change in one way or another... (I like the idea of new maps...)

Thanks for playing UPG and have fun!

Bug Fixes and Improvements

This is pretty much just a big horde update...

- scaling balancing (hopefully!)
- added more fun (real and true)

UPG - UndergroundGame update9 Sep 2026HORDE MODE ADDEDToday I am announcing Horde mode (BETA). Horde mode is a co-op experience inside UPG , supporting up-to 4 players in a lobby. Punch your way through waves of zombies and see how long you can last together! Enemies drop power ups and health to keep your run going as long as you can manage. Use One Punch and Invincibility power ups efficiently, they have a chance to drop from defeated enemies!
