The Blackbox has been successfully extracted – but what happens next?
Just in time for Gamescom 2026, the adventure of BND Legends: Operation Blackbox continues. After the successful exfiltration of the Blackbox, a new challenge awaits you: decrypting the acquired data through gameplay.
A new level with a casual arcade-style minigame is joining the game: “Data Extraction.”
At first, your task sounds simple: recognize patterns, find the correct solution, and use it to decrypt the Blackbox data. But the longer you play, the more the pressure increases. New patterns appear, your decisions have to become faster, and mistakes can cost you valuable points.
How far can you make it?
🔓 Decrypt the Blackbox Data
In the new “Data Extraction” minigame, you work your way through the extracted Blackbox data step by step. Watch carefully, recognize the connections, solve the displayed patterns as quickly as possible – and compile.
It’s not just about finding the correct answer: speed, concentration, and a good eye for patterns will determine your high score.
🕹️ Made for a Quick Arcade Session
The new minigame is intentionally much more arcade-focused than the main mission. A round is quick to start and the rules are easy to understand – but reaching a truly high score is a completely different story.
That’s also becoming clear right now at Gamescom 2026, where you can try out the new minigame in a special setup at the BND booth. The hunt for the next high score is already leading to some very ambitious decryption attempts.
🏆 4 New Achievements
Of course, there are also new challenges for achievement hunters.
The update adds 4 new Steam Achievements centered around decrypting the Blackbox. So if you want to do more than just crack the data and also rack up some serious points, you now have a few new goals to aim for.
