Good evening, dear ones! I am glad to announce that update 0.7.3 has finally been released! It includes numerous improvements to the gameplay experience, from significant optimization improvements and fixes for critical, including rather old bugs, to new tooltips in the diplomacy menu!

Now the game no longer eats up all the resources of the graphics card!

First of all, a bug was fixed due to which the FPS limit did not work. In most cases, this was exactly what led to maximum load on the graphics card under any conditions. However, another problem turned out to be the army models on the map: previously they consumed an unjustifiably large number of triangles due to an already fixed bug with their LODs.

But the main optimization innovation was the “Lazy Render” technology invented by me. In short - now the game will require much fewer graphics card resources while being in various game menus! This is important, in particular, for players from Ukraine - because it seems that electricity will have to be saved...

Hooray! Saves work!

Old and rather critical save bugs have been fixed. Or, more precisely, load bugs.

Previously, loading a save from the main menu reset your progress. This has finally been fixed! Moreover - now even the current course is loaded correctly! Also, other save bugs have been fixed, in particular with the display of troops.

A really large number of bugs have been fixed...

As you understand, the development priority has changed. The game already has enough content, now it is more important for me to fix all the bugs and improve the UX to the maximum. Therefore, a huge number of bugs that you wrote about have been fixed - from those described earlier to, for example, the bug with tooltips of some buildings, the bug with the display of the Syrian Liberation Army and Malta on the map, the bug with AI completing achievements, and others.

Other interesting things

I want to note the new tooltips in the diplomacy menu: now it shows what your country must have in order to carry out this or that decision.

Also, the maximum game speed has become a bit higher (this increase is not twice as much as it may seem to you, because the other speeds have been renamed for more accurate comparison)

The interface continues to improve. This time it concerned the settings window, some buttons in the main menu and the country selection menu, paddings in the header sections of various game tabs, new text icons, and other things.

And finally - critically important for everyone who likes to fight. Starting from 0.7, a problem appeared in the game: your victim was almost always guaranteed by someone. This was not a problem in itself, because that is how I wanted it, but the problem was the ability to provide these guarantees even during combat operations. Because of this, after you attacked a country, and its protector attacked you, some other country started defending that protector, and then another, and so on... In short - now guarantees cannot be given to countries that are at war!

And below you can see the full list of changes:

  1. Significant optimization, in particular while being in various menus

  2. Updated 3D map objects of different levels of detail in order to use polygons more efficiently

  3. Added tooltips for the requirements of diplomatic decisions

  4. Fixed a bug due to which the LOD of brigade models did not work

  5. Renamed and redistributed game speeds

  6. Now even on the lowest graphics settings there is a sea

  7. Added new countries to play, including Malta, Monaco, Andorra, and some unrecognized states

  8. Added experimental icons for variables in the country menu

  9. Continued improvement of the interface in various parts of the game

  10. Reworked exiting the game from pause via the spacebar

  11. Increased the electricity consumed by various buildings

  12. Reduced the probability of guarantees from the AI

  13. Fixed a bug due to which the AI could give guarantees even to countries already at war

  14. Fixed a bug with the display of some flags in the region menu and saves

  15. Fixed a bug due to which the Syrian Liberation Army and Malta were invisible

  16. Fixed a bug due to which after loading the game from the main menu the progress of courses was erased

  17. Fixed a bug due to which the AI could complete achievements for you

  18. Fixed a bug with the display of tooltips on the second row of buildings

  19. Added saving and loading of the current course

  20. Added click sounds in the main menu

  21. Added dynamic resizing of event windows

  22. Improved readability of events

  23. Balanced starting budgets for most countries in the game

  24. Added the ability to enter negative values in the cheats field

  25. Fixed a bug due to which the FPS limit was reset with every re-entry into the game, causing the graphics card to always be loaded to the maximum

  26. Other forgotten changes and fixes

Thank you for your attention! Glory to Ukraine!
