I want to start with a quick thank you everyone for checking out the demo, and for bearing with us while we sorted out a few Steam-related issues.
The stats are showing that our demo is landing in the upper brackets for demo playtime, which tells us there’s real interest in the game! More importantly, many of you shared feedback with us, and that helped us identify several areas where we could make the experience smoother, clearer, and more enjoyable.
Below is a list of functional and quality of life changes we’ve made based on that feedback.
Okay back to the updates:
Our original idea of placing map stands around the island ended up being… borderline useless. So we made the map much more practical.
Removed map stands.
The map can now be viewed anytime using the map key.
The map now tracks both you and Gabby for extra support.
Added an arrow that shows the direction you’re currently facing.
Lowered the text wiggle during dialogue.
Added a new setting to reduce the idle bobbing animation on all characters.
Increased brightness and colour contrast in the lava section.
Fixed a bug where the mayor would go missing on the floating island.
Fixed a bug where players could still use the cannon after the lava section.
Patched an issue where players could earn double points in the lava section.
Fixed some dialogue issues and typos. That’s embarrassing.
Added more infoboxes and text snippets throughout the game to better explain the balloon-tapping mechanic.
Made the lava section a bit more forgiving with improved flower spawns.
Made the flight to the floating island easier by moving the island and increasing the cannon power.
Thank you again to everyone for playing, sharing feedback, or supporting the game so far. If you haven’t already, it would mean a lot to us if you could wishlist the game on Steam, try the demo, and leave a review. Every wishlist, playthrough, and review helps us reach more players and keep improving the game. Thank you,
Dev One
