Hi! PotatoJambong here! 🥔🍜

DungeonSucker Demo Ver. 1.21 is now live!

This update is categorized as a [TIDY UP] update.

📋 Patch Notes

✨ New Features

Vacuum Skill System Implemented & Vacuum Tutorial Updated

  • The Vacuum Skill System that was missing from the previous update is now fully implemented and available to use.

  • Additional skill-related features have also been added to the tutorial.

Try out the tutorial to see when Vacuum Skills can be used and how they can open up different strategic choices during gameplay!

We'll continue adding more Vacuum Skills with unique characteristics for each vacuum in future updates!

Sound System Added

  • Built the basic sound system so different sounds can play depending on the situation.

  • Added sound effects to player actions and tutorial sequences.

The sounds currently implemented are guide sounds and are not the final versions.

For this update, our priority was to establish the overall direction of the game's audio and get a better sense of how it feels during gameplay. We'll continue replacing and improving the sounds over future updates.

🔧 Improvements

Camera Move Improved

  • Improved overall camera movement to make it feel smoother and more natural.

Combat Presentation Improved

  • Added rotation to enemies when they die to make their deaths feel more dynamic.

Tutorial Art Resources Expanded

  • Added additional art resources throughout the tutorial.

  • Improved the visuals of several areas that previously felt empty or unfinished.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the repairman NPCs' hit timing could occasionally become misaligned during Tutorial Phase 3 (Attack Absorption).

  • Fixed an issue where the character dialogue window could unintentionally change size depending on the screen resolution.

  • Fixed an issue where some sprites were displayed in the incorrect sorting order.

  • Fixed an issue where the camera Shake effect did not work as intended.

🥔 Dev Message 🍜

In Ver. 1.20, we mainly showed the system refactor and the groundwork being prepared for future updates.

Starting with this update, we're now adding and improving features and presentation that you can actually feel while playing the game, one by one.

The sound effects introduced in this update are still in the guide stage rather than their final form, so some of them may feel a little rough or out of place for now.

We plan to continue updating the Demo while showing you the process of DungeonSucker gradually changing and becoming more complete.

🚧 What's Coming Next

The Demo update schedule we previously announced has been partially adjusted based on our current development progress.

We'll share the revised schedule through our official SNS after discussing and finalizing it internally.

We categorize Demo updates into three levels so players can easily tell how big each update is.

🧹 DEEP CLEAN

  • Major updates with significant changes to the game experience—worth jumping back in for another run!

🧽 TIDY UP

  • Regular updates that add new features, content, and other improvements

✨ DUST OFF

  • Smaller updates focused on tweaks, balance changes, and bug fixes
