American Gold Rush has been accepted into Steam Next Fest, October 19 to 26, and our free demo will be playable for the whole week.
Dahlonega, Georgia. 1829. Twenty years before California, the first American gold rush started here, and the gold was not sitting on the surface waiting to be found.
You get a pick, a set of aching arms, and a hillside of red clay. Dig. Rig ladders and lift shafts to chase a vein deeper than you can climb back out of. Haul what you find into a boomtown where the General Store, the Saloon, and the Hotel all want their cut before you see a dollar of it.
Most swings turn up nothing. Forty times in a row, nothing. Then the shovel turns over something that stops you where you stand.
Kvayo Software is a family studio in Georgia. Every miner, storefront, and stubborn vein of quartz in this game was made at a kitchen table by people who love this era and this genre. This is the first time we are putting it in front of the world, and we would genuinely like to know what you think.
Our Discord is open and we read everything: discord.gg/qfz8hHJzEj
If this sounds like your kind of thing, wishlisting is the single most useful thing you can do for a small studio. It tells Steam to show the game to more people, and it tells us we are on the right track.
See you in October.
