Sneak Preview of the Full Game

Hamsteria Demo · published 35 days ago

Hey everyone! I just wanted to give you an update on the full game.

Things are progressing well! I have nearly 2 hours of content already, and I'm hoping to double/triple this before release. Until then, I want to show a quick sneak peak at some of the new mechanics in the game!1) Buttons

You can press buttons in the game now! And they do things! Neat!

2) 2D Sections

I

I added several 2D sections to the game. Some optional and some required, but all with the gimmick of split controls. Here, you can see an optional etchasketch in game, with split up-down and left-right controls. Can't wait to see what you draw together!3) Ice Levels

I always promised I wasn't going to add ice levels, but honestly watching the hamsters slide around is hilarious and it belongs in the game. These will be sprinkled throughout with increasing levels of difficulty.

4) LASERS!

Do your best mission impossible impersonation.

I expect the full game to come out the first week of Feb 2027, just before the couch co-op fest on steam. This may change, but that's my current plan.Don't forget to Wishlist Hamsteria so you don't miss the release!

Hamsters out. 🐹🐹

Bonus Peak) Backrooms Section

Hey, did you know the backrooms is actually public domain? That means I can have one too!

Creepy!

Hamsteria DemoGame update3 Aug 2026I made the ending less difficult.I made the second to last checkpoint turn speed slightly slower (0.34 -> 0.3). I still personally don't think it was necessary, but most of the negative reviews (and a lot of the positive ones) say it's too hard, so I'm making a small adjustmentGame update30 Jul 2026Hamsteria Fully Supports Steamdeck!Hamsteria fully supports Steamdeck with a native Linux build! Including online cross play with Windows users! This isn't new, it always did, but now there's a post about it! Recommended Settings: For 90FPS, I recommend running with shadows on "Low", Anti Aliasing OFF, and 0.75 resolution scale. For 60FPS, you can run the game up to "Medium" shadows, MSAA2x, and 1.0 resolution scale.Hamsteria DemoGame update28 Jul 2026Minor Updates to the Demo.Fixed some problems with first launch audio. The music will delay playing for a couple of frames now to prevent destroying eardrums. · Finally fixed the see saw section. The physics should no longer have the blue wheel pulling ahead anymore. · Fixed some crashing on first launch. This was due to some systems getting overloaded with too much shader compilation on the first frame. The game will n…
