Network Breaches - Our Biggest Update Yet

Breach has arrived in Idle Hacking.

Our largest update yet adds a new game mode that progresses independently of the normal idle progression. Head into hostile networks alone or with up to three other players, fight through their defenses, and collect loot as you descend. Keep going for a bigger haul, or extract with what you’ve earned. Getting greedy can cost you.

Four classes. Plenty of builds to try.

Summon attack daemons as a Daemonbinder, protect your squad as a Gatewarden, turn exploration into an advantage as a Tracewalker, or finish off enemies as a Nullblade.

Each class has its own talent tree and progression. Collect Cyber Relics, experiment with your setup, and work out what keeps your squad alive on the next floor.

There’s always a harder network.

Earn Access Tokens to open randomly generated Breaches with scaling difficulty. Craft modifiers onto your Tokens to make runs more dangerous—and more rewarding.

Set your squad’s priorities and let the run unfold. Repeat runs and shared Token queues let you plan ahead and keep the idle side of Idle Hacking working for you.

Bring something back for your equipment.

Breach also introduces Plugins and Catalysts, giving you new ways to improve and customize your gear. For those willing to risk a final craft, Unstable Catalysts can permanently change an item before sealing it against further crafting. The odds are shown up front. The result is yours to live with.

Alongside the new equipment options, Hacking combat is changing: your attacks and enemy attacks will now interleave according to Attack Speed. If your build depends on finishing every fight before the enemy gets a turn, it’s time to revisit your defenses.

Thank you to everyone who tested Breach, reported bugs, and helped us get it ready for release.

Log in, choose your class, and see how deep you can go.

For Mac users, this should significantly drop the CPU usage across all sections of the game. For Mac and Windows users, this update adds a DNS fallback for users who may be on networks where the game's domain name (idlehacking.com) may trigger filtering due to the word "Hacking". If the game detects a connection failure due to a DNS resolut…In-game event5 Jun 2026New Player Enhancements and Continued UI UpdatesNew Player Tutorial/Goals Update Today we have launched an overhaul to the tutorial system with the goal of helping new players navigate the game's various systems.
