Catch Flex is out!
It's a rhythm game where your whole body is the controller: an ordinary camera reads your arms and legs. No VR headset, no gamepad, no wearables.
After a long development run the game skips Early Access and launches with every planned feature in:
- Vol. 1: ten hand-charted tracks — house, electro and techno, 96–150 BPM.
- Split-screen Versus — go head-to-head with a friend on one screen for the best score. One copy covers both players. The second player only needs their own camera or phone.
- Global leaderboards — one per track.
- Ten achievements — and not all of them will come easy.
- Tracking through a webcam or your phone. https://controller.catchflex.com — the free controller app turns your phone into the camera over Wi-Fi with the lowest possible latency. Make sure you have enough room to move, good lighting, and your full body visible in frame.
- Custom level loading — the "Add Levels" entry right in the main menu.
- Level editor — https://editor.catchflex.com. Runs in any browser, nothing to install. Test your level directly in the game: switch on Creator Mode (Settings → System) and the editor plays the level on your screen.
- Six gameplay elements:
• Cut — a quick swing through the block in the arrow's direction
• Catch — touch the rings with a hand or foot
• Kick — strike balls with your foot or knock them back with a hand
• Stomp — hit the floor marker right on the beat
• Slide — keep your hand or foot on the trail to the very end
• Dodge — duck under or step over the obstacles - Steam Deck support — the phone app is the camera. We recommend hooking the Deck up to a TV: the bigger the screen, the better every move reads.
Still on the fence? Try the updated demo — the first track in full, no time limit: same game, same tracking.
Launch offer: 10% off until September 12.
If you enjoy it, leave a Steam review. Even a single line helps a small game more than anything else.
See you on the leaderboards.
