Hello everyone!

The first Hope of Elements playtest has officially come to an end. A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to jump in and experience the game!

During this playtest, we received an incredible amount of valuable feedback. Many of you enjoyed the fast-paced combat built around elemental reaction chains, while others had fun experimenting with all kinds of creative builds.

At the same time, you also shared plenty of thoughtful suggestions on combat pacing, the tutorial experience, UI presentation, and many other quality-of-life improvements. In this FAQ, we'll answer some of the most frequently asked questions and address the most common feedback from the community.

Compatibility & Technical Issues

Q: My 2K resolution keeps reverting to 1080p, and my volume settings reset every time I restart the game. Has this been fixed?

A: Yes! We've fixed the issue that caused display, audio, and other settings to reset after restarting the game. Your graphics and audio settings will now be saved properly.

Q: The screen often zooms in when returning to the Origin Ground, and the game sometimes freezes while loading. Has this been fixed?

A: Yes! We've optimized the rendering logic used during scene transitions. The abnormal camera zoom when returning to the Origin Ground and the loading freeze have both been resolved, making scene transitions much smoother and more stable.

Controls & UI Issues

Q: Rapidly clicking locked objects causes the UI to shift, and I have to restart the game to fix it. Has this been patched?

A: Yes! We've improved the UI interaction logic to prevent this issue. Rapid repeated clicks will no longer cause interface offset or rotation problems.

Q: Some dialogue lines repeat. Can you add a skip feature?

A: It's already in development! Fast-forward and dialogue skip options will be added in a future update, allowing you to quickly skip repeated NPC dialogue and previously viewed story content.

Combat Experience Improvements

Q: There are 20 elemental reactions, and they're difficult to remember because they don't have distinct identities. Will this be improved?

A: Yes! This is already part of our optimization roadmap. We're designing unique identities for the core elemental reactions, along with dedicated lore entries and training stages to help players better understand and remember each reaction. Our goal is to make the system easier to learn while giving every reaction its own identity.

General Gameplay Improvements

Q: The tutorial is easy to miss. After skipping it, I couldn't even find the portal. Will the guidance be improved?

A: Yes! Improving the new player experience is already part of our plan. We'll strengthen visual guidance for key objectives, introduce several recommended starter builds during the tutorial, and add contextual prompts when entering important areas like the Mist for the first time. These improvements will help ensure you don't miss important information or lose your way during your first playthrough.

Q: There's no indicator showing which tiles I've already explored, and the difficulty colors are hard to distinguish. Will this be fixed?

A: Yes! This is already planned. We'll add clear visual markers for explored tiles and adjust the color palette used for difficulty levels, making the map much easier to read at a glance.

The topics above cover the most frequently reported issues, but they're only part of the feedback we've received. We're also working on many other improvements based on your suggestions to deliver an even better experience in the upcoming demo and full release.

Lastly, we'd like to share a preview of what's coming next:

1. For combat and elemental reactions: We're introducing a brand-new collection of treasures, enemy aggro mechanics, and summoner builds. We'll also continue refining and expanding the elemental reaction system to create even more diverse and rewarding combat experiences.

2. We're adding a full title system along with new challenge rewards. For example, you'll be able to earn exclusive rewards for clearing a realm on your first playthrough without equipping any additional treasures, giving collectors and challenge-seekers even more goals to pursue.

3. For the story: We'll add more memorable moments centered around elemental reactions, helping players build a stronger understanding of each reaction mechanic.

(As a certain character once said: Art is an explosion!)

We'll continue refining and polishing the game to bring you an even smoother and more enjoyable experience. If you're excited for what's coming next, be sure to add Hope of Elements to your Steam Wishlist!
