Steam leaderboards and achievements
- Two Steam leaderboards are here: wins against humans, and wins against bots. A new LEADERBOARD screen in the main menu shows the top 10 and your position.
- Your rank is shown on the end-of-match screen after every win.
- 12 Steam achievements to unlock: First Victory, Clean Sweep, Sharpshooter, Ghost, No Safety Net, Untouchable, Interceptor... and a few more to discover.
Controls
- A new, modern key layout for the right-hand player, active alongside the numpad: arrow keys to move, Space for the phaser, Ctrl for the torpedo, Shift for cloak, Down arrow for hyperspace, Page Up / Page Down for energy transfers. On macOS the torpedo is on Option.
- In the lobby, Space is now enough to join the game.
- The CONTROLS screen names profiles by what they are: KEYBOARD RIGHT, KEYBOARD LEFT, GAMEPAD 1, GAMEPAD 2.
Quality of life
- Your Steam name replaces "Player 1" in the lobby, the HUD and the end-of-match screen.
- HUD gauges read in the same order in all four corners: shields on top, energy below.
