The focus of this update is to give some extra love to the endings of this game, as well as the overall atmosphere and mood as you explore. There's also a few cool changes to see!
Changes:
Every ending now has a unique animation or effect if it didnt already have one. The endings should feel more impactful and immersive, giving them more weight and importance.
Every ending now has a specific song that plays. No new music, but certain songs in the soundtrack now always play for each ending.
Texts now read out in the game world when clicking on them. This change makes the process of exploration quite a bit more engaging and interesting!
Added a new way to open the Labyrinth...
Added achievements for Fishing! You should retroactively get them if you've caught fish before.
Changed start location to Acropolis. This location should provide a more clear starting point for players and be a more accurate representation of what challenges you will face.
Improved lorefinder tracking for non-Disc objects.
Autopilot now needs 2 endings complete to unlock, rather than just one. Autopilot has been an experimental feature, and I'm still working out when you should have it. It is a good quality of life feature, but does take away some of the magic of figuring out navigation.
Fixed some bugs with radar tracking for certain locations.
Adjusted a disc at Greater Corba.
Endings should hopefully properly save your location now, rather than resetting you to a random point.
As of this update, you can expect the time between updates for Flux Empyrean to take a bit longer. Since Flux Empyrean's launch, I've been working on two projects. Flux Empyrean itself, and an unnamed new game. Up to this point, I've been working on both, but prioritizing Flux Empyrean. Going forward, the new game will be my development priority, but that does not mean the end of updates for Flux Empyrean! I'm working on both, just shifting which game is my current focus. You can expect plenty more tweaks and fixes for Flux Empyrean! :) Thank you all for the time you've spent playing! I hope the new changes improve the experience for fresh players, and give experienced players the chance to enjoy the magic of discovery once more.
