Update 1.9 is now live! Today, we are bringing a completely new layer of gameplay to ContractVille, along with important technical improvements and exciting community events.
Step directly into the real estate market and start building your empire!
The Rent Expansion introduces a full property management system. Instead of only completing contracts for clients, you can now invest in your own properties. Buy apartment buildings available in different tiers, furnish them, and rent them out to tenants for a steady income.
What's Inside?
18 Rentable Apartments: Spread across 9 distinct buildings throughout the city, these properties are ready to be purchased, designed, and listed on the rental market.
Build and Rent: Purchase empty plots, use your planner to build houses from scratch, and put them up for rent.
Income Management & Risks: Set flexible 1, 4, or 7-day lease terms to secure cash flow. But be careful—being a landlord comes with real risks. Some tenants might treat your place nicely, while others might leave trash, smudge your freshly cleaned windows, or even walk away with your furniture!

Steam Deck "Playable" Status
We are happy to announce that ContractVille has officially received the "Playable" (Yellow) verification for Steam Deck! We have implemented specific optimizations for the device to ensure a smoother experience. The only aspects keeping us from the fully "Verified" (Green) status are some minor UI scaling and text size limitations. You might notice that certain menus or texts appear a bit small on the handheld screen, but the core gameplay remains fully accessible and enjoyable on the go.
Technical Optimizations
We have made significant progress in optimization recently, and we continue to prioritize your feedback as we work on further improvements. Here are a few highlights from our latest technical efforts:
FPS & Draw Call Optimization: We focused on one of the most reported issues—FPS drops during late-game and heavy scenes. By making technical adjustments to actor and mesh draw calls, we have achieved nearly a 20% performance improvement in densely populated areas.
RAM Management: We made improvements to how loaded in-game assets are handled in memory, resulting in overall RAM usage optimizations and up to 30% lower memory usage, particularly on systems with higher amounts of RAM.
File Size Reduction: We have completely overhauled our game compression method, resulting in an approximately 57% reduction in the game's overall file size, from around 21 GB to 9 GB.
Audio Optimization: Rebalanced and optimized in-game audio processing.
