Blood Bar Tycoon is back in our hands

Hi everyone,

I’m Ludovic, the original creator of Blood Bar Tycoon and Lead Game Designer on the project.

After Clever Trickster Studio, the previous studio, went bankrupt, Clever Trickster Productions has now recovered the rights to the game. That means Blood Bar Tycoon is back in our hands, and I wanted to give you a clear update on what happens next.

The short version: I’m going to do my best to fix bugs and improve the game.

I need to be honest about the constraints. The game was built by a core team of 12 people. I’m now handling it on my own, and my main role during development was Lead Game Designer. Before I can patch things properly, I need time to get familiar with the codebase, the tools, and the current state of the project.

I’ll start with the bug reports we already received. I can’t promise dates yet, and I don’t want to announce a roadmap before I know what I can safely deliver. I’d rather move carefully than create new problems.

If you want to report an issue or make sure I see something, please join our Discord and ping me there. For now, Discord is the only place I’ll realistically be able to track while I work through the project.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. An indie studio closing is never simple, for the team or for the players. Blood Bar Tycoon still matters to me, and I’ll do what I can, with the means I have, to make the game better.

In-game event11 Sep 2026Corpses, Cameras & Closed DoorsGreetings, Children of the Night. My master, Vladimir de La Ligne , has been reading your letters, and a few of them made him laugh far too long. Masters locked out of their own construction menu by a room with no door, while time stood still. A morgue with nine drawers that only ever made room for one more corpse. A camera stuck zoomed in on the widest screens. He found a few horrors on his ow…In-game event12 Aug 2026A Way Out of the Walls, a Voice in the DarkGreetings, Children of the Night. My master, Vladimir de La Ligne , walked his bar last week and came back with a short, unpleasant list. A prisoner bricked up behind a fresh wall. A television flattering his guests before he had paid for it. Whole words spilling out of their boxes in five tongues. And his cutscenes playing to a silent room, with no music and no voices. No new comforts this tim…In-game event4 Aug 2026Voices for the Living, a Queue for the DeadGreetings, Children of the Night. My master, Vladimir de La Ligne , noticed two things on his last inspection. His bar had gone as silent as a crypt, and his servants were wrestling over the same corpse like gulls over a fish. He handed me a candle and pointed at the cellar door. Your staff talk again, your dead wait their turn, and a good many dials that lied have been taught some manners. 🕯️…
