Drop your ideas below in the thread!We’ll collect your suggestions until the end of the week, pick our 3 favourites and then let the community vote on which one makes it into the game! After that Sven will draw the winning item and put it right into the game. So go wild. We want to see what you come up with! Also, if you’re planning to celebrate the release with us, share your Garden Ink content, screenshots, fan art, videos or whatever else you create! We’d love to see it and share some of it with the community
Alright, the official stuff is over. Here comes a personal note for everbody who is still reading.
Sven and I began working together in September 2024.
We got funded by Gamecity Hamburg and made the first playable Garden Ink Prototype.
In January 2025 we got funded by Press Start for 18 months. During this time, we talked to many mentors and exhibited our game at 7 conventions. (Gamescom, Gamesground, Mag-C, GGBavaria, Caggtus, Baltic Games Festival, Gamescom26)
We even won 3 prizes (BalticGames-BestGame / DCP-NewcomerBestPrototype / MagC-BestPresentation)
And got nominated for 2 more (GDD-BestPrototype / Gamescom-MostWholesome) The best part about it is all of the interactions we had with so many wonderful people.
We made many new friends and got to experience so many cool things. So Garden Ink isn't just our first Game, it's a way for us to remember these amazing 2 years. Right now we are sitting at home and watching all of the streamers who are playing our game, while reading your kind reviews. We didn't make millions, but it sure feels good watch so many people enjoy something that we worked on for 2 years <3 ~Arne
