Module 33.5: Monoliths of Madness is approaching soon, and we would like to introduce you to its brand-new features! We would love for you to check out the new content in advance and provide us with feedback early on!

Preview on PC
The Preview will be available on Mimic Shard and Lurker Shard. We are only conducting this test on PC.
Module 33.5 aims to be released early-September, and we are very excited to present this content to you in advance.
Providing feedback
As soon as the content opens up, we will drop an announcement in the #announcements channel of our Discord server, containing links to where we invite you to provide us with feedback.
Please try to be as constructive as possible. We would love for you to focus on the following aspects:
- Monoliths of Madness: Revisit old zones for new missions!
- Item Stack increases: Some stacks have been upgraded from 99 to 999!
- Offense and Defense Combat Enchantments: Equip an extra Combat Enchantment!
- Upcoming rewards and items: Gear, Mounts, Companions and Artifacts!
Please also keep in mind that the part of the content on the Preview server, such as currency dropped from normal enemies, hunt bosses or world bosses, and content related to the new event, is not final and currently under balancing review.

Monoliths of Madness
Neverwinter's latest event brings us back to Menzoberranzan, Northdark Reaches, Narbondellyn, and Dragonbane Vale. Each week, one of the zones will feature as the mainstage for a variety of new quests. Players will be downscaled when a zone is active, so that the new content isn't ridiculously easy.
Tip: if you haven't played the Campaign related to the active zone yet, you are able to progress in both that Campaign and this new content!
Go to Protectors Enclave and speak with Master Arcanist Viorel Amakiir to start the Monoliths of Madness Campaign.
New quests
By completing the new daily and weekly challenges, both global and individual progress will be reflected in the Monoliths of Madness Campaign.
Quest objectives include:
- Complete Heroic Encounters
- Defeat Enemies
- Defeat Named Encounters
- Purify corrupted altars
- Earn points
- Complete Skirmishes
- Complete a specific Dungeon or Trial
Corrupted Altars
The zones have been updated a bit to include corrupted altars that summon strong enemies. All critters around the zone have a small possibility to drop a Nightmare Fragment (tentative). Get 3 Nightmare Fragments, go to one of the smaller monoliths and spawn a Nightmarish creature. Defeat it to purify an altar and get rewards plus a bigger Nightmare Fragment. Three of those can be used at a monolith for an even stronger enemy that drops better rewards.
Critters will also drop Shards of Madness, which can be used to obtain Warden's Marks to spend at the event store!
Corrupted Heroic Encounters
The existing Heroic Encounters for each zone have been impacted by the mad monoliths as well! While conquering Heroic Encounters, try not to get burned, keep moving, cleanse your disease or dodge meteorites – you will be even more heroic if you manage to complete these Heroic Encounters!
The Nightmare (Tentative)
On top of all of that, an ultimate Nightmare spawns every few hours, so gather together to defeat it for more currency, more global progress and a temporary buff that lasts an hour, allowing you to deal extra damage within the zone.
Item Stack Increases
Inventories are cluttered, and we want to introduce a first approach to help you out here. For the following items, the stack size has been increased from 99 to 999:
- Epic Collar Choice Pack
- Genie's Gift
- Potion of Healing Rank 10
- Most Coalescent Motes
- Most Overloads
- Most Preservation Wards
- Most Stronghold Vouchers
- Black Pearls
By default, your stacks aren't merged. Drag one stack to the other stack or click the sword button to merge them (note that bind statuses still apply and do not stack).
Offense and Defense Combat Enchantments
A while ago, we released additional Combat Enchantments. Starting with this Module, you are now able to equip two of them.
On your Enhancements tab, the Utility slot has been moved to the old Combat slot, making room for two Combat slots – one for Offense and one for Defense.
Currently equipped Enchantments have been automatically equipped to one of the two slots.
