PAINT THAT SPHERE!

To all the Custom Slops,

One of the first things we implemented in Ballslop was the customizable sphere. This immediately led to us creating that EULA for all you super sloppers out there... you know who you are.

But after the inital panic wore off with the machinations of what people would draw... we were very excited to have this feature. You can rotate your sphere around and draw on the 3D 'canvas' that will be directly represented in the game and to other players.

The best part is, no one has to be an amazing artist to have fun with this! Just paint and have fun. What all you can do on your sphere:

  • An intentionally simplistic color pallette based around the existing playable sphere colors (plus a few neutrals) that you can free hand onto your playable sphere. (The Mouth is a separate element that overlays onto the front of your sphere but more on that in a later post).

  • Rotate around and cover up to 50% of your sphere in anything your mind can conjour.

  • Didn't like that you painted it Red? Or got a new sphere color that doesn't quite work withyour previous paint? easily color swap a color for a new one for a quick fresh look.

  • Didn't like what you drew at all? CLEAR it or UNDO up to the last 6x actions. Or use ERASER for a finer detailed adjustment.

  • Love the piece you drew and don't want to have to do it again? Save it as a preset. At launch game will have 6x presets to save locally for your sphere, mouth, and slop tag art. Load it when you don't have time to redraw something. Your last used art is still saved in between matches and even game loads, but sometimes you want to try something new, but then go back.

  • Brush strokes can be made smaller for finer details or larger for filling in more at a time.

  • Mic Test on the Customize screen to see your mouth in action and it's positioning.

  • FLIP your sphere upside down or CENTER it so you are back to the front facing profile position where the MOUTH is positioned.

  • CUSTOMIZE on the title screen or wait until you're in a lobby. When joining a lobby all players have 30 seconds before they autoconfirm to allow HOST to start match.

We'lll do a dedicated post on Players&Safety functions but for now take note that there is a HIDE art and MUTE other players function if you do not like what you see or hear. And for offensive displays there is a BLOCK and REPORT function.

Remember lil' Sloppies... YOU are responsible for what you draw so use discretion. If you use RANDOM matchmaking, you do not know who you are in a room with and do not know who you might offend. Spread love, not hate.

Be the Slop you wish to see in the world,

- Slopphi

Community10 Sep 2026BALLSLOP Has Gotten Much SloppierHowdy BallSloppers! We have been sloplessly working on BallSlop over the past few months to get it ready for NextFest in October where a DEMO will be available. We haven't made an announcement in a long time and the game has evolved a lot since the last communication. No more poops or pukes or farts or spits or toots... well okay maybe a few toots. BUT BallSlop has become something more than a…Community5 Aug 2026The Babies Have a Name — Meet the SloppiesHello again, Slopheads. In our last update, we hinted that BallSlop’s development-mode names were likely to change. And they have. More importantly, the tiny rolling creatures previously known as Baby Spheres finally have a proper name: SLOPPIES The little ones are Lil’ Sloppies . One is a Sloppy . A large group of them is probably a sanitation violation. Sloppies are collected, carried, launch…Community1 Aug 2026The Slop Is Online — Closed Pooptesting, Controller Support & More MessHello again, Poopballz. Since our first development update, BallSlop has rolled out of the toilet and into its first closed Steam Playtest. We’re now testing actual Steam builds, multiplayer rooms, controller support, voice chat, and increasingly destructive eight-player matches while preparing to invite more outside testers. Full Controller Support BallSlop can now be played through its menus…
