The demo is out
The ALGO ARMS demo is live. It's free, and it runs on Windows.
What you sharpen in this game is not your reflexes — it's your machine's brain.
Measure "distance to enemy", test "closer than 90m", wire it into "fall back" —
connect nodes with wires, and the way you fight becomes the mech's pilot.
During a battle you can open your algorithm as a live blueprint and watch the values flow, so you can see for yourself why you lost and how to fix it.
What's in the demo
- The node editor is the full one. Every node, every sample algorithm, comment-out, the live blueprint — all of it
- Assembly is the full one too: 9 slots, manufacturer quirks, the weight and EN-output budget
- The solo career runs from Rank D up to the Rank C boss, Nox. Win or lose, the demo ends there
- Practice mode is unlimited — any opponent, as many times as you like. Use it as your firing range
- You can grab the controls anytime. The results screen shows what share of the fight your algorithm handled
- 14 languages (English, Japanese, Simplified & Traditional Chinese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian)
- Your machines and algorithms are saved, and carry over to the full game on the same PC
What's not in the demo
- Everything from Rank B up — contracts, rivals, bosses, and the parts and weapons that only circulate at Rank B and above
- Online (asynchronous battles against other players' machines). The tab isn't even shown in the demo
And, honestly, about the full game (Early Access)
The full game launches in Early Access in mid-September. The core loop — build, write, fight contracts, climb the ranks — is playable from start to finish.
A lot is still unfinished, though.
- The part and weapon roster is small, and only part of each manufacturer's lineup is in
- There aren't enough arenas or contract variations yet, so the back half of the career is thin
- Balance is rough. Some builds are clearly too strong or too weak
- Controller support covers menus and combat; editing nodes still needs a mouse
- Sharing algorithms means passing files around by hand. In-game sharing and matchmaking come later
Through Early Access we'll add nodes, parts and manufacturers, arenas, sharing and matchmaking, and keep tuning balance — prioritized by how you play and what you ask for.
Known issues
- Button prompts use Xbox labels (A/B/X/Y) even on a PlayStation controller
- Save slots are shared between the demo and the full game. Once Steam Cloud is on in the full game, your demo saves sync along with it
Please
Tell us how it went — who you couldn't beat, which node you wish existed, anything — in the community hub. It goes straight into the next update.
And if it clicked for you, a wishlist helps more than you'd think.
Don't pilot it. Design it.
Can your algorithm take down Nox?
