Hello, investors!
Since the August 17 patch, we’ve completed a major pass across controller support, Steam Cloud saves, business balance, hedge funds, multigenerational play, localization, and responsive presentation.
Here is the complete changelog.
“Keep This Device” can now resolve a save conflict while Steam Cloud is disabled or offline.
The local decision is stored durably, preventing autosaves, load screens, and save-slot cards from reopening the same conflict every month.
Added defensive migration and repair for malformed settings, Hall records, relationship data, property records, and other legacy save structures.
A product starting at 10% visibility now reaches 50% in roughly 26 months at minimum budget, or about 18 months at twice the minimum.
The existing 5% monthly visibility cap remains unchanged.
The first-year demand penalty now fades smoothly from 50% to 100% over twelve months instead of ending at a sudden cliff.
Live sales and dashboard forecasts now use the same marketing curves.
The advertising row now forecasts time to 50% or 90% visibility and warns when visibility will fade, stall, or hold.
Restored manual CEO strategy tabs for:
Film studios: Content Spend and Licensing Strategy
Telecoms: Service Investment and Subscriber Strategy
Consumer goods and retail: Supply Chain and Pricing Strategy
Fossil and renewable energy: Capital Expenditure and Dividend Policy
Monthly income and expense history is now finalized after property, lifestyle, dividend, hedge-fund, and other late-month transactions have settled.
History rows now include net cash flow and detailed income and expense breakdowns.
Institutional funds that outperform beyond the $20B capacity ceiling no longer lose their LP population permanently.
Closed funds now begin waitlist backfill from 50% of the previous month’s institutional redemptions. Performance, reputation, and appetite modifiers can increase this up to 100% of the capital that left.
Anchor-exit and SEC-heat restrictions still prevent inflows where appropriate.
Capacity is now shown clearly as “CLOSED TO NEW CAPITAL · CAPACITY” in the header, health line, and investor registry.
The investor registry now includes every LP with live units instead of hiding holdings below 0.01% of AUM.
GP contribution choices now include dynamic Half of Cash and All Cash options.
The $1M minimum and once-per-month contribution limit remain in place.
Heirs now correctly retain:
Game mode, North Star goal, achieved tier, and permanent North Star bonus.
Tutorial and starter-home choices.
GDP, inflation, custom yacht and jet names, and permanently sold companies.
Owned or rented residence state, purchased tiers, and penthouse decor/night selection.
Nascent VC access, active investments, and batch calendar.
Foundation name, completed research, active research, and banked Research Points.
Rocket-company ownership and hibernation state.
Sports-franchise ownership, roster, schedule, purchase history, and hired general manager.
Additional succession corrections:
Taken-private CEO companies become sellable Private Holdings instead of hidden orphaned tickers.
Personal CEO roles do not transfer to the heir.
Player-managed rocket companies restore their 80-hour commitment; hired CEOs keep those hours free.
Player-managed franchises restore their 160-hour commitment; hired GMs keep those hours free.
Personal short positions close against the estate at the live liability exactly once.
Temporary happiness effects, workplace injuries, and attendance-warning streaks reset with the deceased character.
Residence downgrade proceeds are offered only for a genuinely owned home. Renters retain no phantom equity.
Heir education is derived from the child’s real history: completed four-year degree, partial enrolled credit, two years for Community College, or no invented degree for children who went directly to work.
A valid completed degree seeds grades and unlocks Office Manager and applicable graduate-school progression.
Heir eligibility now uses the exact eighteenth birthday instead of only the birth year.
Legacy children without a birth month retain the previous year-based behavior.
Heir portraits advance at ages 30 and 60 across every race and sex.
Native characters and heirs now share the same forced-retirement age of 76.
Estate liquidation estimates now match the cash actually received:
Large stock positions include whale-sale price impact.
Wineries and properties include mortgages and rounded 2% closing costs.
Low-density properties use the correct holding-period and market formula.
Private player companies subtract corporate debt.
Legacy sports franchises use the correct live fallback value.
Hedge-fund closures include liquidity, spreads, market impact, crystallized performance fees, and partner fee rights.
Inherited Nascent VC stakes can be sold at cost through the early-exit path.
Hedge-fund GP stakes receive an exact, side-effect-free orderly-close quote when immediate closure is possible.
The founder retains the original 13-person dating cast.
Generation 2 and later receive a new 16-person cohort with dedicated portraits:
Noor, Rosa, Priya, Mei, Amara, Elena, Camille, Valentina, Theo, Dimitri, Kwame, Mateo, Elias, Andre, Finn, and Arjun.
The new cohort is evenly split between eight women and eight men.
Partners, ex-spouses, blacklisted candidates, and co-parents encountered by earlier generations are saved as dynasty exclusions.
Descendants can no longer date age-reset versions of their parents or ancestors.
Love Interests now includes an in-game dating-preference editor. Changes validate and autosave without ending an active relationship.
Legacy “Disable Dating” choices remain respected, while affected heirs can opt back in.
Modern Job Board employment now contributes the intended dating-event chance.
Later-generation children inherit the heir’s correct lineage.
The cash HUD turns red when the balance is negative.
Navigation hotspots show a pointer cursor.
All 95 job titles are translated at every render location.
Character Creation’s tier preview changes correctly between Arcade and Margin Call.
Options-chain buttons display the full order debit—premium × 100 × quantity—rather than the per-share premium.
Hovering an option shows the exact cost.
Successful fills and rejected orders now use distinct green and red status feedback on both trading screens.
Phones, computers, Jobs access, trophies, plaques, coat hangers, PA controls, wine bottles, and the VC book move clear of persistent HUD panels when necessary.
Time Management artwork once again matches the exact 700×600 panel instead of expanding to 1100×900 around an unchanged menu.
Company Creation now survives live desktop-to-handheld docking changes without losing its buttons, scroll state, or HUD restoration.
Thanks to everyone who reported controller, Cloud, company, hedge-fund, succession, and layout issues. Those reports directly shaped this update. Keep them coming—and good luck building the next generation of your empire.
