PROFITS 2167: Planetary Resource Optimization & Freight Infrastructure Technician Simulator · published

From the bottom of my heart, I say thank you to everyone who decided to give this weird game a chance.
And a special thanks to everyone leaving feedback, reporting bugs, sharing ideas, and generally telling us what you think both here in the Steam Discussions and on our Discord. We're reading everything, and it genuinely helps us figure out what needs fixing, balancing, or improving. Although I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the activity in my phone notifications, but I enjoy it while it lasts
I'm especially happy to see that people actually enjoy this strange mixture of incremental, management games, train simulators, tower defense, and whatever else accidentally ended up in this volatile mix.
Experimental overwhelming incremental train-driving tower defense - not exactly the kind of game you can easily explain in one sentence. While making it, I was genuinely worried that we'd mixed up too many things and it simply wouldn't click with anyone.
Apparently, it clicked with at least 2,167 of you.
Thank you. Seriously.
Now, back to work.
We've also just released the first patch for PROFITS 2167. Here's what's changed:
Important:
Hopefully the 4k monitor and other resolution issues are now gone forever;
Fixed game-breaking bugs with zero or negative weight. Now negative weight is a playable strat;
The junction indicators now show up at least 5 seconds before reaching the junction, depending on your speed - before this was based on distance, so getting faster was making the game harder
The minimap now also shows junction indication, allowing easier navigation. Feedback wanted;
Misc:
Fixed turn lever keyboard controls interfering with throttle mouse controls;
Improved display of small numbers for station repair speed and dispatch rate (before it would show a number like "1", now it shows a percentage like "100%");
Fixed display of large numbers in the Booster parameters;
Lowered shooting sound effects volume by 25%;
Some boosters were adjusted to fit the balance of things better;
Small text fixes
Infinite token glitch fixed (again, thanks to the Discord users);
So, here it is. Right now, we plan to make some changes to the tutorial content, as we've noticed many people are missing necessary skills like braking or driving backwards. Also expect more booster and overall progression tweaks/rebalance.
See you back at work, Planetary Resource Optimization & Freight Infrastructure Technician!
And don't forget to leave a review if you liked the game!
Your Human Resource Director,
Vitalii
