Critical Chaos is now launching September 10, 2026.

For more than seven years, I have spent nights, weekends, and countless thousands of hours writing, designing, programming, mapping, balancing, testing, rebuilding, and polishing a full-length RPG largely by myself.

Critical Chaos began as an idea and slowly became a 40+ hour, story-driven, turn-based RPG about family, friendship, duty, sacrifice, war, and ordinary people who find themselves in circumstances far bigger than they ever imagined.

Solo development has required more patience and dedication than I could possibly have understood when I started this project. But while Critical Chaos was developed by one person, I could never honestly say I reached the finish line alone.

First and foremost, I want to thank my family.

Thank you for your support, patience, encouragement, and inspiration throughout seven years and two months of development. Building this game demanded an enormous amount of my time, and you stood behind me while I chased this ridiculous dream. Family is such an important part of Critical Chaos for a reason.

I also want to thank my brothers and sisters in arms. The people I served beside and the experiences we shared helped shape my understanding of duty, leadership, sacrifice, friendship, and what it means to keep fighting when the odds are against you. Those experiences became part of Critical Chaos's DNA.

Several people deserve special recognition.

ToastyTime took a chance on Critical Chaos as an unknown indie RPG. He livestreamed the game not once, but twice, giving it his time and audience long before release. Now, months later, he has returned to create the Official Launch Trailer you are watching today. I will never forget that early support, and I could not be happier with what he created.

A.W., my lead playtester, invested an enormous amount of time playing through Critical Chaos, finding every ending, testing its systems, and providing detailed feedback that directly helped make the final game better.

K3yBoard_Kowboy was there during the earlier editions of Critical Chaos, consistently showing up for my Twitch livestreams at a time when hardly anyone else was watching or following the project. Support means the most when there is nothing to gain from giving it, and I have never forgotten that.

And my brother, C.M., helped playtest Critical Chaos and provided valuable feedback that helped me improve the game during development.

I genuinely could not have gotten Critical Chaos to where it is today without their help.

There is one more announcement.

Critical Chaos is officially participating in Steam Party-Based RPG Fest 2026, beginning September 14.

With the game ready and the Fest just around the corner, I decided there was no reason to wait.

Critical Chaos launches September 10, 2026.

Seven years and two months led here.

The game is finished.

The launch trailer is here.

It is almost time.
