Amazing Curves Racing · published · build 24744473
The wait is over! After an incredible round of testing in the beta branch, the latest update for Amazing Curves Racing (ACR) is now officially live for everyone.
As a solo indie developer, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has provided feedback. This update is all about making the multiplayer experience smoother than ever and giving you entirely new ways to unleash chaos and have fun in the physics sandbox. A special thank you sale starts tomorrow!
Here is what is waiting for you in this update:
Zero-Jitter Netcode and Higher Accuracy Multiplayer
We have vastly improved the custom bandwidth-adaptive RUDP netcode! It has been heavily optimized and tested to remain stable even at massive 2000ms pings. At competitive pings of 50ms or less, the prediction model is significantly more accurate, incredibly smooth, and jitter-free. Online multiplayer now looks and feels local while being much more accurate, so grab your friends and dive into the high-speed action without seeing the lag.
Massive Track Jumps
You can now instantly add massive jumps to any track to completely transform the race! Launch a high-travel Formula Trophy chassis like a stadium truck, or send a high-speed sports car flying and fight to keep it settled through the corners. Every airborne rotation and landing feels incredibly alive powered by our custom Dragon Physics.
Control the Mayhem: AI Anti-Tip
With the new jumps comes a brand new way to dictate the race vibe. Turn AI Anti-Tip off to witness spectacular, chaotic multi-car pileups as vehicles tumble through the air. Turn it on, and the AI uses a physically modeled, rocket-style attitude control system to stick perfect landings, creating a fiercely competitive, high-flying pack that is incredibly tough to beat!
Overall Polish
Alongside these major features, this release rolls up various smaller fixes including improved sound effects and under-the-hood improvements to keep the driving experience feeling tight, highly dynamic, and wildly fun.
Dive in and feel the thrill! Your support makes these updates possible. If you are having fun with the incredibly smooth new multiplayer and massive jumps, please consider leaving a review on the Steam Store page. Reviews are the absolute best way to support solo developers and help the ACR community grow.
Boot up the game, hit the track, and let me know what you think on the Discord!
See you on the curves,
