New Legacy Chronicle: Desolation’s Call
With Chapter 3 of Update 2.8, we are releasing our second Legacy Chronicle to reintroduce re-colored versions of highly sought-after past Mythic cosmetic content to the game. Desolation’s Call is based on one of the key characters from Desolation’s Wake (Update 1.16) and tells the story of Desolation’s Delegate (formerly known as The Statesman) following up on his masterplan involving the 26th Regiment and a search for information and occult clues for some darker purpose.

New Cargo Crate Type
- A new Cargo Crate Type, the Confiscated Cargo Crate rewards players with random rewards (similar to Dark Tribute) upon extracting it.
- The Confiscated Cargo Crate has a chance of spawning at the Stronghold but will have a higher chance on the weekends of Chapter 3.

New Point of Interest
“Crashed Balloon” will spawn randomly across the map and will not be displayed on the mini map.

Bounty Clash
The Stronghold is coming to Bounty Clash! Most Strongholds are a perfect fit for the game mode, featuring a Caged Boss Target, the Maxim M1895, and exclusive Event items. It will be available until the end of Chapter 3.

Fog of War
A heavy blanket of eerie fog is rolling in, Hunters, and with it comes the promise of more danger—and more money—thanks to the arrival of Desolation’s Delegate in Chapter 3 of Road to Hell.
While the man formerly known as The Statesman is keeping the purpose of his ominous new mission under wraps, he would be happy to bestow upon you some larger paychecks for all the good work you’re doing in the fight against Corruption...especially in low-visibility conditions like these. So lean into your instincts. Accept the dark influence of Desolation’s Delegate with open arms. Brave the uncertainty of the hazy landscapes and do whatever is necessary to live to die another day. You’ll come away with more cash than you ever expected. Just remember—monsters aren’t the only things lurking in the mist, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
The time has come to become one with the shadows. Hold your own or perish in the fog of war.
The arrival of the newest Legacy Chronicle, Desolation's Call, brings with it a shroud of mysterious fog that will take over the bayou, and nobody knows how long it will last.
General Overview
Fog of War is a new Weekend Contract where Hunters will face an increase in foggy weather and other low-visibility conditions as well as earn 100% more Hunt Dollars in Missions, all thanks to the dark influence of Desolation's Delegate.
Start date: August 5th.
