This update focuses primarily on a comprehensive rework of fishing, alongside improvements to combat, the card viewer, world, boats and user interface. It also introduces Kado Tickets and fixes numerous issues.
New Kado Ticket System
- When fishing up treasure chests, there is now a bonus 2% chance to receive a special Kado Ticket.
- R Ticket from blue chests: choose any 3★ Kado
- SR Ticket from pink chests: choose any 4★ Kado
- SSR Ticket from golden chests: choose any 5★ Kado
- Tickets can be used for Kados from the ORIGIN and ALPHA sets. After using one, choose your desired card in a new selection menu, followed by the familiar wish animation.
- The Kado Album must already be unlocked before a ticket can be used.
Further Improvements
- The 3D viewer and ticket selection menu received further visual improvements.
- ORIGIN and ALPHA set progress now synchronizes reliably, including cards obtained with tickets.
- English translations for daily, weekly and monthly missions have been corrected.
- Menus, navigation and presentation received further improvements.
Fishing & Angler's Encyclopedia
- The fishing minigame has been extensively reworked with an underwater backdrop, animated water and particle effects, and a completely redesigned user interface.
- Hit detection is now much more precise and forgiving. New visual hit reactions, screen pulses and click ratings provide clearer feedback.
- Fish now have individual sizes, rarities and tension values. Especially rare catches present a greater challenge.
- A list of possible catches now appears when the minigame begins.
- Three secret treasure chests can be recovered throughout the fishing regions. Depending on their rarity, they contain different amounts of KadoGems.
- The new Angler's Encyclopedia records discovered fish species and treasure chests, personal size records, maximum possible catch sizes and interesting facts about every species.
- The five best fishing locations can also be displayed for each fish.
- Bait supply, fish name, catch progress, rarity and tension are displayed more clearly. Fishing is no longer possible without bait.
- Issues when cancelling fishing, with background music, progress values, input prompts and character animations have been fixed.
Combat System
- The guarding system now includes a sustained guard mode. While the guard button is held, the character remains in a defensive stance and can move at reduced speed.
- Attacks, active abilities, dashing and jumping are disabled during sustained guarding; consumable items can still be used.
- A new guard stability bar limits the number of consecutive hits. The defense breaks after four attacks are blocked in direct succession.
- A Guard Break is indicated by a golden “Break” message, a sound effect and a 15-second guard lockout.
- New indicators above and beside the character show the remaining guard stability and the guard cooldown after a Break.
- Several incorrect attack, movement and guarding animations have been corrected.
- Healing numbers have been enlarged and made easier to read.
World & Atmosphere
- Vegetation has been revised to create a livelier and more immersive experience.
- The first encounter with Tutschwein has been enhanced with a new backdrop and animated effects.
- A new opening sequence now welcomes players to the world of Vanada after entering their name.
- Name entry, initialization and the opening sequence are now presented without distracting HUD, chat, online or minimap elements.
Boats & Waterways
- Boat controls have been unified: near water, B is now used contextually to spawn, board and leave a boat.
- Docks, covered water tiles, coastal corners and mooring points are now detected more reliably.
- Inappropriate boat prompts on docks or during the fishing minigame are now suppressed.
- The docking and disembarking prompt now also works at suitable docks located in the water.
Card Album & 3D Viewer
- The card viewer has been extensively reworked both technically and visually, providing a much more realistic sense of depth.
- Cards can be rotated horizontally and vertically in perspective, zoomed, and freely moved using WASD or the middle mouse button.
- The new card presentation is also used for single and ten-pull wishes.
- Starter Pass cards now display their correct artwork in every album filter and appear at the end of the respective character list.
- Other players' favorite cards can be opened directly from their Social profile in the 3D viewer.
- The Event Kado count has been corrected from 107 to 106.
- The 15 KM Starter Pass Kados now appear as a separate category below Event Kados in the Social profile.
Quests, Dungeons & Interactions
- Akzu's final quest now completes reliably after defeating him. Existing save files are corrected retroactively.
- Incorrect quest indicators for Selly have been fixed.
- The collapsed bridge in Cascadia Chasm can now be repaired with 9× Wood.
- Miko's desk bell no longer opens dialogue or gift options by accident.
- Collectible flowers once again display an interaction prompt and no longer leave the character in an incorrect sprite animation.
- Bait merchants now have Confirm and Cancel buttons as well as correctly localized quantity and money displays.
User Interface & Quality of Life
- A new expandable calendar shows all four seasons and clearly highlights the current in-game day. Click the time/season display to open it.
- Minimap size and transparency can now be adjusted using compact buttons that remain available at all times.
- Chat display, size controls and transparency have been corrected.
- The new bug-reporting system can now also be accessed directly from the main menu, and its window has been reorganized for clarity.
- The extra Windows cursor that appeared after switching away from and back to the game is now hidden reliably.
- Aya and Chiyo's intro videos now include a Skip button and play at reduced volume.
- A new option to disable global 5-Star Kado notifications is available in the settings.
- The selection frame in the settings now remains correctly inside the settings window while scrolling.
- The Steam Overlay works again.
Balance, Achievements & Stability
- The prices of all learnable skills have been standardized at 100,000 Gold.
- A new Steam achievement has been added for completing the Origin and Alpha sets. Players who already meet the requirements will unlock it automatically on their next login.
- New achievement icons have been added for locked and unlocked achievements.
- Numerous additional improvements increase compatibility with existing save files.
- Various issues involving save files, audio, inputs, passability, animations and user interfaces have been fixed.
