Hail Decked Out Gamers!

Early Access release moves ever closer and we wanted to drop some info on the second class that will be playable in that version of the game!

The Ranger

She uses a combination of Shot, Traps and Beasts to mow down enemy waves in a way that will feel like a playstyle shift from the spellslinging Wizard.

Ranger also has a secondary resource called Supplies. You can use certain cards to build up your supply count and then activate bonus Bolster Effects.

Traps

The Trap system is all about setting up a line of defense for unsuspecting enemies to walk into.

Traps usually have the Explosive keyword, you'll definitely want to be on the lookout for the Obsidian Gem that can be added to make a trap detonate multiple times in a row!

Arcane Trap can be Bolstered to add a second line of defense after it detonates. It can be a particularly powerful combination with the Gloves Artifact that gives traps additional damage if they survive long enough.

And of course Traps have their own legendary. We're trying something new and letting you manually detonate all of the traps you've placed without destroying them. (And yes.. Arcane Trap will still split!)

Beasts

What Ranger is complete without their animal companions? This class will be able to summon an army to defeat the enemy hordes.

Snakes apply the new Poison status effect. It's best when stacked on the same enemy multiple times so the Sausage Artifact might be a good find when using this card to let the snakes get that extra hit in.

Powers are no less crucial for deck building than they were for Wizard. Bounty: Beasts will stop those pesky small enemies from slipping past your pets by making them too large to ignore

Sometimes, though, you just need to go wide. Call Vermin is a humble common card, but when bolstered it can be an army in a box.

Add on top of that the Field Notes: Beasts power and you'll find yourself spawning waves bigger than the enemy ones!

...But that's just scratching the surface. There will be plenty of synergies and op builds to discover when you get your hands on the Ranger (probably even some we don't know about!). Next time we'll be talking about the Decked Out difficulty system that should create a challenging run for even the most veteran deck builder enthusiasts.

Stay Decked Out
