Since the games launch in March 2026 this sci-fi rail shooter has been titled 'Alastrius' after the large space battleship that escorts the player throughout the game. The game name has now been extended to Alastrius: Star-Fighter The main reason for this is Alastrius is planned as a franchise with additional games set in the same universe but expanding into other genres of gameplay. A second game is planned for a 2027 release and by giving both games a unique subtitle it will easier to manage both projects going forward. Another reason for the addition of the subtitle has simply been to improve the games discoverability on Steam and to give more detail to anyone seeing the games name without further context. This 1.1.6 update has added the Star-Fighter subtitle to the games main menu and has also integrated the Demo label for the demo version of the game.
