Optimizations & New Translations

We've been working on some improvements to Kaptain Brawe here and there and are now ready to share an updated version, here's what's new:

Optimizations

We've optimized all graphical assets which contained translated texts. This was long on our bucket list and there were a lot of full-resolution graphics that contained only a few lines of text that were duplicated for each language.
We've also applied image compression (98% quality) to the original 800x600 graphics, which yielded huge size reductions.
Together these 2 optimizations reduced the game by a whopping 250MB! So the game, even with new graphical additions we made in this update - has been reduced from 900MB to about 650MB.
Which in a way is awesome because, once again, the game can fit on a single CD :)

Translations

Hebrew translation

Following a fruitful collaboration on Duke Grabowski with the Hebrew Adventure group, we're now proud to annouce that Kaptain Brawe is available in Hebrew!
the game properly displays Hebrew right-to-left text and wraps lines in natural places. We iterated with them until they were fully satisfied with the translation.

Croatian translation

This is something we've been working on for quite a while whenever we found some free time. We're from Croatia (Europe) and having our games translated to our native language is something we're proud of and delighted to see.
It was especially rewarding watching some of our family members finally play and enjoy the game, where the language barrier prevented them before.

Graphical translations

Up until now, only the German translation had all images translated, other languages had only the key ones translated. Since we made the optimizations mentioned above, we decided to translate all graphics for all languages in the game. These aren't critical for enjoying the game in your language, but they expand the experience. hope you like it :)

Bug fixes

We fixed a few minor issues that players reported since the last update. As always, if you find any issues with the game, please report them, we investigate and fix everything that gets reported and we maintain all our games indefinetly!
