Hi everyone,
A brand new update for the Mayor city in session playtest is now live!
As we get closer to our Q4 release, we are heavily focused on quality-of-life improvements and making sure the core mechanics feel great.
Here is a look at what is new in this update:
Losing progress on a sprawling city is the worst, so we have completely rebuilt the backend save architecture.
Reliability: Your city data is now written and stored much more securely, preventing corruption when closing the game.
Multiple Slots: You can now maintain multiple save files to experiment with.
Managing a growing city requires a lot of information, and the old interface was starting to get cluttered. We have rolled out a major visual overhaul to the main HUD.
Streamlined Data: Resource counters and zoning tools have been repositioned to give you a wider, less obstructed view of your city.
Better Readability: Updated fonts and panel designs make it much easier to digest your management stats at a glance.
Alongside the main UI, the pause and settings menus have been completely redesigned.
Smoother Navigation: The menu layout is much more intuitive, making it faster to adjust audio, graphics, or input settings on the fly.
Better Controller Support: These menu changes also directly improve our controller navigation, making it easier to snap between options without using a mouse.
Thank you for your support and welcome are first round of public playtesters!
