Major KN Tower Development Update!

🚀 Another Major KN Tower Development Update!

We're back with another major development update - and we've been incredibly busy behind the scenes! Since our last update, we've continued to expand, optimize and polish KN Tower. What started as a collection of smaller improvements has grown into a substantial upgrade across almost every part of the game. We've added new features, improved the gameplay, expanded platform support and continued working on the technical foundation of KN Tower.

Here's a look at what we've accomplished:

🗺️ A Completely Improved Minimap & Screenshot Tool

We've given the minimap a major overhaul! The new minimap provides a much clearer overview of your entire skyscraper, making it easier to understand your tower at a glance and navigate even the largest buildings. We've also continued improving our screenshot system, allowing you to capture your entire skyscraper in a convenient way. Whether you want to document your progress, admire your creation or share your tower with the community - your skyscraper is now easier to capture and showcase than ever before. 📸🏢

✨ Major Quality-of-Life Improvements

We've made a huge number of quality-of-life improvements throughout KN Tower. We've refined menus, interactions, controls, feedback systems and countless smaller details that make the game easier and more enjoyable to play. Some of these changes are small and may not immediately stand out, but together they make KN Tower feel significantly smoother, clearer and more polished. Our goal is to make managing your skyscraper feel intuitive while still keeping the depth and complexity that makes KN Tower what it is.

⚡ Even More Performance Improvements

Performance continues to be one of our biggest priorities. We've spent a significant amount of time profiling and optimizing the game and have continued improving many of the systems running behind the scenes. We've worked on rendering, simulation, citizens, lighting, memory usage and general CPU/GPU performance. The result is a more responsive and stable experience, especially as your skyscraper grows larger and more complex.

And we're not finished optimizing yet! 🔧

🎮 Full Steam Integration

KN Tower now features a much more complete Steam integration! We've integrated Steam functionality directly into the game, including our global leaderboard system and other Steam-related features. This allows your achievements and scores to become part of the wider KN Tower community and gives you the opportunity to compete with players around the world. 🏆

🎮 Full Controller Support

KN Tower now has full controller support! We've worked on the controls and interactions to make the game comfortable to play with a controller, giving players another way to manage and build their skyscraper. Whether you prefer mouse and keyboard or a controller, you can now choose how you want to play. 🎮

🏢 Introducing the Building Showroom

We've also added a brand-new in-game Building Showroom! The showroom gives you an easy way to explore the different buildings and facilities available in KN Tower. You can learn what each building does, understand its purpose and see how it can contribute to your skyscraper before deciding where and how to use it. This should make discovering the game's many building types much easier - especially for new players.

And there's plenty more room for the showroom to grow as we continue expanding KN Tower. 🏗️

🍎🐧 macOS & Linux Versions

Another important milestone has been reached!
We've successfully created working versions of KN Tower for both macOS and Linux. These versions are not perfect yet and there are still platform-specific issues that we're working through, but they are already functional and playable. Getting KN Tower running on additional platforms is a major step forward for us, and we'll continue improving both versions as development progresses.

🕹️ Improved Gameplay & More Interactivity

We've also continued improving the gameplay itself.
We've refined existing mechanics, adjusted systems and added new interactive elements throughout the game. The goal is to make your skyscraper feel less like a static construction and more like a living, interactive environment. There are now more things to interact with, more ways to engage with your tower and more small details that make the world feel alive.

We're continuing to look at every part of the gameplay and asking ourselves:

"How can we make this more fun?"
