隐梦交织 Demo · published
We rarely post development updates. For a story-driven game, revealing anything about the content always seems to go hand in hand with the risk of spoilers.
However, now that we have reached the middle of the year, it seems that we should still show our faces, after all, many players have been very concerned about how things are progressing.
We place great importance on the experience of players using other languages. Full-text localization is currently underway. Although the Demo in this update has already been fully localized, there are still some issues with the UI layout and text proofreading, for which we would like to apologize in advance. If you encounter any problems during your playthrough, you are also welcome to join our official channel and provide feedback. We promise that, in the full release, we will completely rework the UI layout and interface for multiple languages, ensuring a good experience for players using other languages!
Our work on rebuilding the game’s code is still ongoing.
Many players are eager to experience our Demo on different platforms as soon as possible. However, since the requirements of each platform are indeed rather different, involving different rules and procedures, we are constrained by objective circumstances and can only, regrettably, ask everyone to wait patiently.
We previously completed the implementation of the Demo for mobile devices, and next, we are submitting the NS version of the Demo for review. Once that is done, everyone will be able to play it on NS!
We recently added the third case to the Demo—the “Laboratory Assistant Disappearance Case”—along with a new location, the “Mycology Laboratory.” This case is completely different from both the original “Maid Disappearance Case” and the subsequently added “Little Wolf Girl Disappearance Case.” We believe that this case may perhaps awaken some players’ fond—or not-so-fond—memories of life in scientific research.
After completing this small Demo update, we will continue adding a large amount of new content to the Demo during the upcoming Steam Next Fest in October.
We completely understand that everyone wants to see more content that demonstrates the quality of the game. However, during the Demo stage, it is indeed impossible to fully showcase the impact of choices and the POV-specific content all at once. After all, when the word counts of both perspectives are combined with all the various branches, it really does become far too long.
At present, we have completed another group of important locations, as well as some character-related storylines that have never been revealed before. In addition, we are adding more content to the original outline in order to enrich the story experience from the middle through the later stages of the game.
Because the entire scenario has always been written by one person doing the work of a whole writing team, what lies ahead will be a long battle.
The character sprite artwork is now largely complete. At present, as the story continues to grow, we are filling in some of the remaining gaps.
We have (once again) completed another batch of CGs, which are also the main focus of our original artist’s current work. However, since most of them involve spoilers, we can only show a small portion of them publicly. Please enjoy the new CGs that we are able to reveal this time!
Lastly, since we have no outsourcing and the entire team is developing the game part-time, the development team is indeed extremely busy, with everyone taking on multiple roles.
If there is anything you would like to give us feedback on, you can leave a message on social media or join our Discord group: https://discord.gg/ZaY7PKVg9t.
The Demo in this update uses a new engine. We welcome everyone to report bugs and share suggestions, and we will continue making adjustments and fixes in subsequent versions!
