Hi everyone!

Our Demo has already been out for a month!

During this time, our community has welcomed many new friends, and we've also received lots of feedback and suggestions. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We'll keep working on the game and improving it step by step.

In today's Dev Log, we're going to talk about Elements and Domains and take another look at the world of Witch & Dragon: Hope of Elements.

Elements

Legend has it that, in the very beginning, there were no Elements in the world. The air was filled only with an attribute-less energy known as Mana.

Over time, Mana began to change depending on what it flowed through. Mana that lingered among plants and trees gradually became Wood, while Mana that flowed through the oceans became Water. And that's how the Elements came to be.

The five Elements, Fire, Water, Earth, Wood, and Lightning, exist throughout nature and everyday life. People have learned to live alongside them in harmony. As different regions developed around their unique environments and Elements, their civilizations gradually evolved in their own ways, giving rise to five distinct Domains.

Until one day, the Elements suddenly began to react with one another...

Wood Domain

The Wood Domain is a land covered by vast forests.

People here live in harmony with nature. Villages are scattered among the trees, while witches make their homes deep within ancient forests. The Wood Priestesses have watched over these forests for generations, while witches study magic and brew herbal remedies among the trees.

Elise's childhood was closely tied to this place as well. As she explores, forgotten memories may resurface and new events may unfold along the way, slowly revealing the secrets hidden within the forest.

And of course, the Wood Domain isn't exactly safe. Slimes, Shadowbeasts, Pitcher Plant Monsters, and other creatures lurk among the trees.

Water Domain

The Water Domain lies along the coast, where generations of people have made their living through fishing, trade, and sailing.

Its society has developed a well-established division of labor, with skilled craftsmen creating all kinds of goods and merchants traveling far and wide to maintain connections with the outside world.

Earth Domain

The Earth Domain is a distinctive desert region and home to the lizardfolk.

We've designed quite a few monsters inspired by the unique environment and terrain of this region. Stay tuned and see if you can guess what they are!

As Elise and Pipi continue their journey, they'll visit even more Domains, including the Fire Domain and the Lightning Domain, which we're currently working on.

There are still plenty of stories waiting to be discovered! If you have any ideas or suggestions, feel free to join our official Discord and chat with us. We'd love to hear what you think!

Don't forget that the Demo is still available! Give it a try, and we'll see you in the next Dev Log 👋
