Our team is actively working on bug fixes, gameplay improvements, and new content for the game.
Many of you have shared feedback about bugs, technical issues, and other rough edges. We truly appreciate every report and are working hard to fix these problems and improve the overall experience. Unfortunately, this process takes time, but your feedback directly helps us make the game better.
At the same time, we are expanding existing levels with additional areas to explore, more varied routes, and new gameplay sequences.
Level 0 expansion. Selected areas of the level will now feature procedural generation with unique seeds and layout patterns. Each new game will generate a different version of these areas.
A new puzzle and several short gameplay sequences have been added to the level.
The Dark Zone has been reworked. The routes leading to the first and second levers have been redesigned.
New areas and more interesting routes have been added.
The visuals have been updated to create a stronger liminal atmosphere.
More parkour sections and dynamic traversal elements have been introduced.
Level 1 has received smaller changes to several routes and puzzles.
Spray paint has been added in two variants: standard black paint and multicolored glow-in-the-dark paint.
A new entity has been added: Regular Bacteria, featuring new AI designed for procedurally generated areas.
Many new Easter eggs inspired by the original Backrooms have been added.
Fixed an issue that caused keys to disappear from car trunks.
Fixed Alpha Bacteria falling through the environment or becoming stuck.
Fixed FPS drops caused by Alpha Bacteria on Level 1.
Reworked and simplified the Smiler's AI to make its behavior more stable and reliable.
Gameplay balance adjustments. Crafting will play a larger role, and resources will become scarcer throughout the game.
Level-design fixes for areas where players could become stuck.
A fix for floating objects during the cutscene with Brian.
Existing save files will not be retroactively updated with all of these fixes and changes.
To experience the new content as intended and avoid potential issues caused by older save data, we strongly recommend starting a new game after installing the update.
