I mentioned a mega update, this acutally isn't it. There's some things here that need to be tested before that can proceed. If leaderboards work well and look good we'll be good to go.
Display Properties has an Interface Scale setting now, at 1x, 1.25x, 1.5x and 2x. Everything scales with it: icons, windows, text, the taskbar. It only offers the sizes your monitor has room for, so it will not let you pick one that pushes windows off the screen.
Five of you asked for this during the September playtest, most of you on large or ultrawide monitors where the fixed size read as tiny. Thank you for being specific about it.
There is a new app on the desktop with four boards, running on Steam: Species Collected, Prestige Level, Achievements, and Time Played. I will be adding more.
Species Collected counts species you have found, not fish you are currently holding, so selling, fusing and recycling never cost you anything on it.
Your scores post on their own every couple of minutes while you play. You do not have to do anything. With Steam closed the game runs exactly as it always has, and the window tells you the scores are offline instead of showing you an empty board.
There is a browser on the desktop now.
Five sites live behind it currently. The Fish Cam has three channels, one of which fell over and stayed that way. Bubble Wrap is a sheet of packing bubbles you can pop, by click or by dragging across a run, with a Start Over button for when you flatten the whole sheet. The Fish Calculator does real arithmetic plus one button that does not belong there. The Fish Therapist listens to whatever you type and steers every reply back toward water. Fish Facts opens on a real fact about fish, and the facts stop being true if you keep asking.
None of them pay out anything. This app is more a platform that gives me flexibility on adding new content that doesn't need a full app. Community art gallery, puzzles and more.
