Remember when I had to delay Soul Chained's release because of Grundle's pixelated grundle, which made it rather hard for Steam to finish reviewing the build? Well, things have finally turned around for the better.
Also, you may have noticed something else looking a little different around here.
The artwork has been out in the wild for a few days now, so some of you may have already spotted it - but yes, that's the new game art and logo for Soul Chained! I really wanted the new look to capture what Soul Chained has become - chaotic, ridiculous, and fun, while still somehow holding onto those dark, Souls-esque roots at its core. Neat, right?
And that's not even the only milestone I get to celebrate today! It wasn't too long ago that I shared Soul Chained reaching 40,000 wishlists. Well...
I still can't completely wrap my head around the amount of support this passion project of mine has received.
For a long time, there was always that thought in the back of my mind that Soul Chained might end up being one immense sunk cost - something I'd poured far too many sleepless nights and endless coffee refills into simply because I loved making it. But seeing 50,000 of you interested enough to put Soul Chained on your wishlists makes those nights feel a whole lot more worth it.
Turns out being soul-bound to your passion isn't always a terrible status effect. Heh. And for that, I'm eternally grateful.
This might just be the longest week of my life - but at least now, the day I've been waiting for finally has a date. September 7th.
Now I can truly say it properly - see you soon! ✨
