this is the biggest update DadiKingdom has ever had. The kingdom now has a story that takes you from the Bastion all the way to the arena, and you can play it from the couch with a controller.
📜 The Main Quest: 35 New Quests
An empty tax cart from Veldhein, a prisoner who only whispers, and a sign under an altar in the Mist Forest. From there the story leads you across the whole kingdom: to the village elder of Veldhein, the gravedigger in the mist, to Fernlande, to the master smith in Rakum, into the bandit camp, the penal camp, to the pirates in the sand, to Thyrn, the oasis, the hall of the Lord of Ash, and finally into the arena, where the people want to see what their King can do. Every transition has its own little quest, so you always know where to go next.
⚔️ One Choice for Your Whole Reign
Do you bring the sign to the church or to the mages? The church teaches you the bow, the mages the fire, and the other art you will never learn in this life. A camera sequence shows you both sides before you decide. Bow and arrows or the fireball come to you as a gift, equip them and prove yourself against a practice opponent. The slots for spells and bow appear the moment you receive them.
🎮 Rule with a Controller
DadiKingdom is now fully playable with a gamepad, with a layout you know from the big role-playing games: A to jump, B to dodge, X for potions, Y to interact, RT to attack, RB heavy attack, LT to block or aim, LB secondary ability, click the sticks to sprint and lock on, D-pad for weapon type and items, Start for the menu, View for the inventory. In vendor windows, the throne room and every other window the left stick moves a pointer and A clicks. In the options menu every action can be rebound separately for keyboard and controller. PlayStation controllers work through Steam's controller support.
🍺 A Beer at the Innkeeper
New on tap: for 250 gold the innkeeper pours a beer that fully restores health and mana.
❄️ Winter in Fernlande
When it snows, the snow lies on fences, carts, pumpkins, tents, wells and roofs. Inside the church it stays dry.
🏃 Auto-Run
Long way ahead? Press Num Lock while running. The King keeps going on his own until you steer again.
⏭️ Skip the Throne Room
If you know the daily procession by heart, hold the space bar and jump straight to the first case.
🗣️ Quest Givers Speak Along With the Text
The quest window opens and the voice plays at the same time. Fast readers need not wait. Listeners can read along.
📈 Your Stats Stay With You
Damage, stamina, armor and health carry over every change of day.
🌍 Everything in 13 Languages
The complete main quest, all new conversations and the names of the new characters are there in all thirteen languages from day one, name plates in local script included.
