Development of Car For Sale Together continues at full speed. In this developer diary, we would like to share some of the new mechanics we have been working on, ranging from characters and vehicles to trading systems and open-world exploration.
Our goal is not simply to create a game where you buy and sell cars. We want to offer a comprehensive experience where you can create your own character, get to know different vehicles, expand your collection, and shape your journey through a living world filled with details waiting to be discovered.
While developing the character systems, we are focusing on improving both the feel of the gameplay and the way players interact with the world.
The new dynamic camera system will provide smoother movement based on the character’s actions and surroundings. This will make the camera feel more natural while walking, running, or interacting with the environment.
Development of the NPC system is also continuing. We do not want the characters in the world to exist merely as static background elements. Our aim is to create a more lively world where NPCs are part of everyday life, move around the environment, and interact with players in different ways.
The new sleep system will allow you to advance time. Whenever you need to wait for a specific time of day or move on to the next day, you will be able to put your character to sleep. This system will also provide an important foundation for future activities and missions that take place at different times of day.
Character selection and customization are also being developed. At the beginning of the game, you will be able to select your character and personalize their appearance according to your preferences. This will allow you to create a character that better represents you, whether you are playing alone or with friends.
Vehicles are at the heart of Car For Sale Together. We therefore want them to differ not only in appearance, but also in their condition, handling, and the changes they experience over time.
The new vehicle condition panel will give you access to important information about the vehicles you own or are considering purchasing. The vehicle’s overall condition, damage level, and areas that require attention will be displayed more clearly.
The vehicle damage system is also being developed alongside the new vehicle physics. Collisions and improper use will be able to affect the condition of your vehicle. We are making extensive improvements to the physics system so that each vehicle can offer a more distinctive driving experience.
A towing system will be available for damaged or stranded vehicles. When necessary, you will be able to recover vehicles from their location and transport them to a suitable destination. This will make unexpected situations a natural part of the gameplay experience.
The garage system will allow you to manage your vehicle collection in a more organized way. You will be able to keep the vehicles you have purchased, are currently working on, or plan to sell later in your garage. It will become one of the main places where you can see your progress and your growing collection.
Development of the truck, trailer, and forklift systems is continuing as well. Trucks and trailers will work together, while forklifts will play a role in cargo-related operations. These systems will provide the foundation for the transportation and delivery content we plan to add in the future.
Vehicles will be categorized according to whether they use a manual or automatic transmission. This distinction will help different vehicles offer their own unique driving characteristics.
Turn signals and rear-view mirrors will also be fully functional. With these details, we aim to make the in-car driving experience more practical and realistic.
We are developing the vehicle purchasing and selling processes as separate systems to make trading clearer, more interactive, and more satisfying.
When purchasing a vehicle, looking only at its price or exterior appearance will not be enough. Its condition, potential expenses, and the profit it may generate after resale will also influence your decisions.
The selling system will allow you to connect the vehicles you have prepared with suitable buyers. The condition of the vehicle and the improvements you have made will be important parts of the selling process.
We are also working on a card game that will accompany vehicle trading. This mechanic will add a different form of interaction to the buying and selling loop. We will share more details about the card game in future developer diaries.
Development of the slalom races that we previously shared is also continuing. These events will test your vehicle control on narrow and winding courses and will be among the challenges you can participate in throughout the open world.
We do not want the open world to be an area where you simply drive from one point to another. Encouraging players to leave the main roads, explore their surroundings, and discover new content across different parts of the map is very important to us.
The Focus system we previously introduced continues to be developed alongside the exploration mechanics. It will help you notice important locations, interactive objects, and details in the environment that might otherwise be easy to miss.
The exploration application will help you track the places you have found and your overall discovery progress. As you travel across the map, you will encounter new areas and gain a clearer overview of the content the world has to offer.
The 3D Live Map system currently in development will allow you to examine the game world in greater detail. It will help you follow your position, surrounding areas, and intended destinations more clearly.
Scrap parts and collectible cards will also be scattered across different areas of the map. The scrap and card collection systems will give you additional reasons to explore your surroundings during your journeys. Some items will be easy to find, while others will require you to leave the main roads behind.
On the technical side, we are working on DLSS and DLAA support.
With DLSS, we aim to achieve better performance across different hardware configurations, while DLAA will help us improve overall image quality. Testing and optimization are continuing to ensure that these technologies work reliably across different systems.
Every system shared in this developer diary is part of our goal to turn Car For Sale Together into a more comprehensive and long-lasting experience.
From character customization and vehicle damage to garage management, truck and trailer systems, vehicle trading, and open-world exploration, we are continuing to develop the game’s different features as interconnected parts of the same experience.
As development progresses, we will continue to share new mechanics, improvements, and content with you. Do not forget to share your thoughts and the features you would like to see in the comments.
See you in the next developer diary!
