The most recent update, 1.10, also called the Over-Haulers Update, brought new content to Against the Storm. Three new World Map modifiers, a Hauler system overhaul, the option to play with four species in Training expedition, and more. Let's take a closer look.

The main focus of this patch was the hauler system revamp (surprised?), which was inspired by frequent discussion within the community. The team originally introduced this system as a bonus feature, something that players wouldn't focus on but could benefit from; however, it became clear that the system needed a revamp.

The team took their time and carefully chose how to address this and, in the end, found a solution that strikes a good balance between micromanagement and making haulers too powerful. You can now set priorities for haulers, making them focus on certain production and goods types, but they still only function within range of their warehouse. Haulers also won't service fishing huts, glade events, or service buildings. Make sure to check out the full notes for this update to get the full story on the Over-Haulers update and the other additions made.

Patch 1.9.8 heavily focused on bringing balance and UI/UX improvements to the game. Some stand-out changes include the Moldy Grain seeds cornerstone now only appearing in biomes that contain fertile soil or grain nodes, updated rewards for several orders, and making Shedding Season no longer appear in biomes where leather cannot be gathered from trees or resource nodes. Thanks for reading and happy gaming!
