Crosshair EDGE Update 1.2.0 — Custom Images, Animated GIFs, Pixel Drawing & More

Crosshair EDGE version 1.2.0 is now available!

This is one of the biggest updates yet, introducing entirely new ways to create, combine, and share custom crosshairs. Alongside numerous interface refinements and smaller improvements throughout the app, Crosshair EDGE now gives you significantly more control over how your crosshair looks and behaves.

Import PNG and Animated GIF Crosshairs

You can now import your own PNG images or animated GIFs and use them directly as crosshairs.

After importing a file, the built-in region selector allows you to crop and frame exactly the part of the image you want to use.

You can:

• Import PNG and animated GIF files up to 5 MB
• Crop and reposition the selected image region
• Adjust Scale, Rotate, and Opacity
• Move the image independently using WASD
• Move it together with all other crosshair elements using global movement hotkeys
• Pause animated GIFs while editing
• Save a different custom image for every preset

New Pixel Drawing Tool

Create your own crosshair pixel by pixel using the new built-in drawing editor.

The editor includes:

• Precise pixel-level drawing
• Zoom and canvas panning
• Left-click drawing and right-click erasing
• Undo and Redo history
• Clear and Apply controls
• Independent paint and background colors
• Scale and Opacity adjustments
• Independent and global positioning controls

The pixel drawing system is especially useful for creating extremely sharp, clean, and precise competitive crosshairs.

Unlike resized images that may become soft or blurred, pixel-drawn crosshairs can be designed around exact lines, spacing, center points, and individual pixels. This makes them ideal for competitive players who want minimal, highly visible crosshairs suitable for esports-style or professional-level gameplay.

Combine Every Crosshair Type

Custom images and drawings are not limited to being used on their own.

You can combine:

• Built-in vector shapes
• PNG images
• Animated GIFs
• Pixel-drawn crosshairs
• Bullet Counter elements
• Multiple independent layers

For example, you can place a precise hand-drawn center dot inside a vector ring, add custom image details, and combine everything with additional layered shapes.

Each component can be positioned and customized independently, allowing you to create designs that would not be possible using traditional crosshair shapes alone.

With vector shapes, imported images, animations, pixel drawing, nine layers, and individual controls working together, Crosshair EDGE now offers one of the most customizable crosshair overlay experiences available.

Steam Workshop Improvements

The Steam Workshop has been expanded to make discovering, organizing, and sharing crosshairs easier.

New options include:

• Top Subscribed sorting
• Favorited preset list
• Favorite stars directly on Workshop items
• Search by preset title
• New content-type filters

Available content filters:

• All
• Shape
• Image
• Animated
• Drawing
• Mix
• Competitive

The new Mix category is designed for presets that combine multiple content types, such as vector shapes together with imported images or pixel-drawn elements.

The Competitive category helps players discover clean and precise designs intended for serious gameplay.

PNG crosshairs, animated GIFs, pixel drawings, and mixed designs can all be shared through the Steam Workshop just like regular presets.

UI Improvements

Version 1.2.0 also includes numerous user interface improvements across the application.

Menus, controls, tool access, visual feedback, and general navigation have been refined to make crosshair creation feel smoother and more intuitive.

Desktop Organizer settings are now available directly from the second row of shape tool buttons instead of opening as a separate side panel, keeping the main interface cleaner and making the tool faster to access.

Additional Improvements

This update also includes many smaller improvements, refinements, and fixes throughout the application, including better workflow consistency, improved preset handling, and general stability enhancements.

Thank you for using Crosshair EDGE and supporting its development. We look forward to seeing what you create!
