Revive! Onsen Town! Development Progress Update

Dear Residents of Onsen Town,

We’re excited to share the latest development progress, along with several new features and improvements. Thank you all for your continued support and interest!

New Additions

1. Animal & Ranch System

① Meet the Tagalong Duck

These little ducks love following you around when they’re young. You can interact with them in various ways, including feeding them and letting them follow behind you.

② Windmill Integration

Crops harvested from the farm can now be processed at the windmill to produce byproducts such as rice hulls and rice bran, which can be used as animal feed.

③ Feeding Animals

You can feed animals directly from your backpack. Different animals will also have their own unique behaviors. For example, if one Tagalong Duck starts following you, the others may line up behind it as well.

2. Mini Map & World Map

The new world map system not only displays locations and resource markers, but also integrates town management features.

As Kyoko, catching insects will unlock habitat markers for different bugs on the map.

As the town mayor, the world map helps guide your decisions. You’ll be able to plan facility locations and, in future updates, unlock intercity trade through the Chamber of Commerce system currently in development.

3. Tree Cutting System Updates

The world map now displays trees that can be cut down, including three growth stages: saplings, young trees, and mature trees.

Before cutting trees, the mayor must first approve the necessary permits.

Large trees can only be cut down after building the Lumberjack Hut. Since the number of trees in Onsen Town is limited, building the Forest Protection Hut early on will be important for maintaining a sustainable ecosystem.

4. Farm System Updates

Paddy fields have been added. Unlike dry fields, paddy fields can only be used to grow aquatic crops such as rice.

Future Updates

1. A mining system similar to the tree-cutting system

2. Intercity trade, allowing goods stored in the town warehouse to be traded with neighboring towns by truck or train

3. Tagalong Duck naming and growth systems. Once fully grown, ducks will be able to provide resources such as duck eggs and down. More animals are also planned for future updates

We’d also like to share some exciting news from a recent event!

Last week, Revive! Onsen Town! traveled to Kyoto, Japan to attend BitSummit. We were amazed by the response during the event. At one point, all five demo stations were occupied by players exploring Onsen Town, while even more visitors lined up to try the game. The reception far exceeded our expectations!

We’re also incredibly grateful to Famitsu and AUTOMATON for featuring the game during the event. Thank you to everyone who visited our booth and supported us!

That’s all for this development update. Thank you so much for reading and supporting Revive! Onsen Town!

If you enjoy Japanese-style rural life simulation games, please consider adding the game to your wishlist. We truly appreciate your support!
