Major Demo Update

One More Spin · published 4 months ago

Hey everyone,

We’ve released a new update for the One More Spin Demo.

This update focuses on improving the core feel of the game: more active decision-making, clearer UX, better visuals, and a longer progression curve.

New Energy Mechanic

Energy has been added as a new core resource during sessions.

Instead of clicking endlessly without friction, every spin now costs Energy. This creates a stronger push-and-pull between speed, efficiency, and timing. You can still build toward chaotic, high-speed spinning, but now the game asks you to manage your momentum instead of simply clicking(/or moving your mouse with hoverclick) as fast as possible.

The goal is to make each session feel more intentional while keeping the fast incremental slot-machine energy of the game. Also, we've removed Hover Click since every click is a decision now. We want to add an Auto-Clicker feature in the future, but for now it is nonexistent.

Heat Meter Rework

The Heat Meter has been reworked to feel more impactful and easier to understand.

Heat now plays a more active role in the session flow. Building Heat is no longer just a background bonus; it is tied more directly to the feeling of momentum, streaks, and explosive payout moments.

This should make high-Heat moments feel more rewarding and make the session ramp-up clearer.

Visual Overhaul

The demo has received a visual overhaul across the main gameplay screen.

We improved the overall presentation, readability, feedback, and game feel. Slot machines, effects, UI elements, and session feedback have been adjusted to make the game look cleaner.

The goal was to make the screen easier to read and present a higher quality look.

Progression Updated to Around 1.5 Hours of Gameplay

Demo progression has been expanded and rebalanced.

The demo now offers around 1.5 hours of gameplay, with a smoother upgrade curve and better pacing across the session loop. Progression should now give a clearer sense of growth, from the early low-energy board to later moments where the grid becomes much more active.

This also gives a better picture of the full game’s intended structure.

Thanks for Playing

This update is an important step toward making One More Spin feel better as both an incremental game and a slot-machine chaos game.

As always, feedback is very useful. If you try the new demo, feel free to share your thoughts in the reviews, feedback form or Steam discussions.

Thanks for playing,
EXP Interactive
