Following on from our trailer that dropped a few weeks back, we thought it was important to give you some more insight into Miki-chan, and the role she has in the story of DON’T LIE.
Miki-chan is an AI assistant, created to be an ear for the troubles of young people. Someone people feel they can go to and be comforted. An infallible, trustworthy and kind friend to those who need her, including our protagonist Junko. Even her visual design portrays her as sweet and kind. See below some images from the creation of Miki-chan!
Junko has learned to lean on Miki-chan during troubling times, providing advice and guidance when no one else could. She’s been a constant friend and companion.
However, this doesn’t mean that Miki-chan always advises correctly…
Throughout the game, you the player will be a mere bystander to Miki-chan’s advice. Is what she’s advising Junko actually helpful? Or are more sinister things at play?
What happens in a world where we rely on AI assistants for emotional support instead of people? What are the consequences of no longer progressing human relationships, but prioritising ones with AI?
BrokenLore DON’T LIE may introduce Miki-chan, but this will not be the last we see of her. She will continue to appear in future entries of the BrokenLore saga. What will her impact be? I guess you’ll have to wait and see…
